that's funny, the first debate I watched had them both planted firmly on barstools (almost as if super-glued to them)

SpoilerI'm still only commenting on what I observed, and not who my preferred PM is
"I don’t want this post of mine to be interpreted as support for one side or the other, just my observation of the ‘space invader’ moment".
Hmm...

Yeah, the comedy hour with Morrison starring as the CLOWN lol

ScoMo was talking about Bill’s visit to a Gladstone worksite where a worker in high viz asked him about how his work colleagues who worked overtime and earn $250,000+ would fare under Labor tax policies. Bill said “we’re going to look at that” which ScomMo saw as giving no answer of substance i.e. Bill couldn’t look him in the eye and tell him the truth.
So, in a bit of theatre, ScoMo tried to recreate the moment where the worker moved close to Bill, close enough to shake his hand, to ask him about tax. ScoMo was close to Bill and invited him to look him in the eye and tell him what he’d do, to tell him the truth. If you look at the moments immediately before that moment you will see what I mean.
I didn’t see it as an aggressive act by ScoMo, and despite the media coverage of that moment I still don’t. It was just a bit of theatre.

Hmmm!
Did you click the link I posted and watch the video?
Sure, ScoMo got in Bill’s space . . . . but it was in the context of him trying to recreate that moment with the worker who asked about his mates who earn $250,000.
As for the follow up “Morrison has consistently attempted to enter Shorten's space during the debates . . .” I’ll let this pic debunk that possibility.
(not only on bar stools, but those stools are on individual platforms)

I have watched it a few times, I STILL think Morrison is a total waste of space

I think he is running a negative campaign and rarely deviates from his favourite phrases, and Shorten has his favourite phrases too.
