I know it will never happen but i really wish all animal 'sports' would be banned.

I had to switch channels as I couldn't stomach watching that.... disgusting people imo and thank goodness they have been caught and I hope stopped. there is no reason for them to be using live animals at all

Four corners uncovered live baiting of greyhounds and no one here gives a **bleep**
It's an abhorrent practice and the sooner these people are held to account the better. The same applies I am sure to many other practices in the so-called "sports" of dog racing and horse racing.
Don't assume that just because no-one has started a thread about it (until now) that no-one cares.

I did watch it, and it was not kittens, it was piglets, possums and rabbits. And I do care and I am glad it as been uncovered, but I just dread how it is going to be dealt with. I am just waiting for the films to be made inadmissible in court, because they were obtained "illegally" and the charges laid against the brave people who got the footage. This industry brings in big money and they will pull the big legal guns.

imagine there is a dog race and no one leaves a bet....

I give plenty of bleeps actually. The thought that this is still going on turns my stomach. I am trusting in the powers that be to come down like a ton of bricks on these disgusting human animals.

I don't think that applies in Australia, depending where they took the film from, maybe?

Wilks
I did see your thread yesterday and thought that was what you were referring to but did not want to assume.
I did not see the four corners show but did see an article in the paper which I chose not to read.
One of my cats, Tobias, is an ex-cruelty case and the RSPCA claim he and his brothers were used to train greyhounds. Consequently he is missing toes on his back feet and walks with a slight limp. He is lucky that not only was he rescued but he has a great life with me and his step sister cats. He is a beautiful big cuddly cat. Mind you, he did not look like that when he was rescued; he was extremely skinny and traumatised.
I personally don’t know how anyone could harm him or any other animal for that matter. I find any form of animal cruelty absolutely abhorrent whether it is for greyhound racing or just someone’s sick sense of gratification.
Tobias is the big ginger one.
