What's something that has made you happy today?

It's raining, and the baby birds in the nest on the top ledge of my front door are cheeping.

I've just the deepest most relaxing nana nap I've had in ages. I love listening to the rain. It's been really quiet in the neighbourhood today and the rain has kept the neighbours from using their power saws and lawn mowers. Ahhhh silence except for the birds chirping. Bliss.

The house is clean, I can't 'do' anything in the garden because of the rain (I had sweeping and weeding on my things to do list) so I'm not feeling gulity and my DD is coming for dinner tonight and we are having leftovers so no cooking required.

I've changed the calender on the wall and it really does feel like a New Year.

I am content.

its not raining was stinking hot

but i went crazy and cleaned my house from top to bottom

did 8 loads of washing

scrubed.vacummed.washed.mopped.dusted.re-arranged furniture in all rooms and so much more

now can someone pass me the meds for my bad back

its so baddddd

just had a hot shower to try to releive some pain on my back

now gonna relax and hopefully sleep well tonite lol

thanks i needed that lol

and yes i think i am and i cant even blame it on alcohol as i stayed home last night and didnt drink

i had to keep and eye on my kids cats as they are in an outdoor avery attached to the side of my villa

and the loud fireworks my back neighbours were setting off every 30minutes for about 8-10 hours

and the drunken yelling and screaming all night and early hours till 4am

yesterday and early morning scared them they were huddled together shaking with ears back and fur up

sorta wimpering.so i had to bring them into my place

they shed fur like crazy and i had to clean as i dont like fur anywhere but love my kids cats

so i just kept going till it was how i needed it and now i could do with a drink lol

what made me happy today?    I'm cooking a tomato chutney in the slow cooker...the smell is devine.  underestimated the bulk of it, so will have to sterilize more jars.
