Just unreal, it's not enough theu're getting record sales!
Woolies here had only a very small "specials" catalogue and IGA have put their mince up $2 to $15.99 per kg
but it wasn't selling well at $13.99 per kg so no idea why they think it's going to sell at a higher price.

The cat food i buy has had an offer of buy 4 for $6. Then a few weeks ago went to $7.50 and now has been removed. This offer has been available for atleast the last 6 months.

For a month they say.
what they need is 20,000 rolls of toot paper in each store
it should be their #1 priority
there are lots of alternatives for foods
cant get something get something else
but toot paper is a 'you cant substitute' item

There is no need to attract sales with discounts when stuff flies off the shelves anyway.
I buy 95g tins of Greenseas tuna when they're on special for $1. I refuse to pay $2 for them, the standard price. John West, I have found isn't the best, so the discounts on that are pointless to me. When I buy tuna, I just want the meat, not bonus ground up bits of bone.

greenseas is my choice too
just because an advert says 'its what we reject that makes us the best' doesnt mean its true

It might almost be called self-justification. Or deflection.
The only time I bought John West tuna there was bone in amongst the flesh, in several cans. They might have since got their QA in order, but once choked, twice shy.

Just like a certain hardware store
lowest prices are just the beginning
but lowest does not mean the cheapest as they won't price match trade stores

Another reason that a certain hardware store will not/cannot/does not price match is that they stock exclusive sizes so there is no equivalent size in other stores to match the prices.

One thing I have learnt from all this is I use a LOT of Loo paper.
Never had to count the rolls before 🙂
