Whole-Wheat Pasta. Most purchased dry whole-wheat pastas do not contain eggs. You'll find that the majority of these pastas, including lasagna, spaghetti, fettucine and penne are vegan, and suitable for individuals with egg allergies.

Re: still no toot paper?

Semolina, also known as pasta wheat or macaroni wheat, is a type of flour that is typically made from hard durum wheat. It has a rather coarse texture and is high in gluten protein. ... Semolina has a sweet, nutty flavor that works well in pasta, but also in bread and pizza.

I guess vegan pasta would be made without egg. Not that I'd know how to make pasta. But I always thought the egg was involved.

Ah, you must not be a fan of MKR. Smiley Happy

The contestants on that seem to make pasta every five minutes. From what I have seen, it doesn't look too hard. Throw everything quickly in a food processor then use a pasta maker thingy to roll it out over and over.

Not that I make my own, I usually buy wholemeal spaghetti when I need some. None on the shelves at the moment but my fav was one of the last to go, probably as it is double the price. So I got the last pack.

I am in a good mood this morning. I picked up-now wait for this- a 24 pack of sorbent this morning. It's like hitting the jackpot. I will drop it off at my daughter's door tomorrow, that should get them through a week or two.

I wasn't as lucky as you. I scored an 8 pack at Woolworths yesterday. I also felt happy and like I'd achieved something important. It's funny how we now regard something so basic to be rare and precious. LOL
