Maybe call it China's revenge as they are certainly getting that on the US and they wouldn't care how much it

If what you are suggesting is correct then the Chinese Government is brilliant. Murderous, barbaric and highly dangerous, but brilliant.

Not to mention threatening the US position as a superpower.

If one considers as having a likeness to influenza as being a respiratory illness then it could be argued that the naming format for the actual virus should be the same as for flu stains which originates from animals. The name of the location where the virus was first isolated is included.

There are plenty of virus names whcih include Australian cities and no one objects to that

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/viruses/types.htm

Maybe the Wet Market Cold

Well I object to it, ok. Especially when the world knew that Trump was being provocative and trying to accuse China of committing a global biological crime. Maybe we could call it the Coronavirus or Covid 19 hey? Hows that for a suggestion?

This is Australia , so I think  " covey"  has a certain ring to Covid-19

But you would have to apply, and if you weren't outrageously dumb enough, you'd have to suffer and die in anonymity.

Maybe if we have too much botox, or brightly coloured hair, fake boobs or big behinds we might have our 5 minutes of fame.

Or if we say something absolutely stupid every time we open our mouths, or offend people all the time.

From what I've seen and read, China has spies planted all around the world. The FBI and CIA believe there are Chinese spies planted in the White House, the Pentagon and even NASA. They steal military and technological secrets. This can explain why they have surged to being the world leader so fast. They have already taken over as the new space race leaders. Allegedly they are racing to develop their military space ability. If they develop it first they rule the world.

well as you should know,  use of the term  Covid-19 ( 3 syllables) in most casual conversation would be seen as pretentious ,

but i suppose covey would be seen as trite considering the gravity of the situation , unless there is a sound context where such a term would enhance a viewpoint ie becoming annoyed with frustration in response to a situation being treated tritely.

IGA in my town has had no TP, tissues or paper towels for nearly FOUR weeks  ...... Why can some supermarkets get these items while others cant get anything?

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Who's got the clout, and who hasn't?

I think we know the answer to that one    ...... It's a 30km drive each way to our WW, Coles, Aldi   ..... Many of the older folk in my town either dont own a car or cant make that drive, so unless they have someone who can do the shopping for them, they are totally stuck.

I haven't checked the pasta, flour, rice aises, will take a look next time I am in there

IGA here keep ordering these items but they are not arriving

Goes to show how we've given up our food sovereignty to major, foreign -owned, retailers.

Back in the day, most ppl could grow their own food, at least.

All Aussie owned retailers,,, except for Aldi (German)
