the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

This is a thread with no particular

Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂

So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Can we keep politics and religion out

Of the conversation

I can imagine that catching the light.

I can see I'm going to have to talk the neighbour around so I can take over his yard and run some chickens.

Smiley LOL

Are exquisite

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

I don't think they'd have too many difficulties.

I've seen the baby magpie playing with the cockatoos, and she's a precious little princess - if things don't go her way she throws a tantrum, not that the cockatoos pay any attention to that. Smiley LOL

I'd be more concerned about the possums. They wouldn't hurt the chickens, but they're not always too quick on the uptake. They'll find a cockatoo asleep in a tree and they'll go and try to make friends. The cockatoo'll squawk because it's surprised and probably a little upset at being woken up, and the possums tend to take that as an invitation to come closer, which is not what the cockatoo wants. The penny drops, before too long, or the poor bird has to fly off, but in the meantime there's a lot of noise and confusion.

They'd work themselves out, but I can see there being a couple of noisy weeks - call it a learning curve. Smiley LOL

Getting back to what I said before

Would you think a cockatoo and

A possum could be friends in a natural

Environment.

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

There's a little girl possum who lives here, she's about 7 months old, she "moved out of home" about a month ago.

Putting aside anything I've read about possums and how they're fiercely territorial and solitary, independent creatures, because it reads like so much nonsense...

The little girl has adopted an older female possum, one that's about her mother's age, who hasn't any young of her own, at the moment. I think she's lonely. She misses Mum. She's found someone to meet an emotional need.

The possums and the cockatoos teach me, often, not to take too much for granted. Don't assume that "It must be that way".

I want to try to believe that a possum and a cockatoo couldn't form a relationship, couldn't be friends. I want to try to believe that, but I can't, because I believe they could.

They're animals of an equal size, they both use similar sites to nest, they're both, essentially, arboreal. It's not inconceivable that the chance meeting takes place, and the circumstances are right, and they do form a bond.

Yes, they could be friends. However unlikely it might seem, the possibility exists, so I can't say it wouldn't happen.

Owls and **bleep** cats, possums and cockatoos, if the world was clear cut and easy to understand then it wouldn't be half as interesting as it is.

Goodnight.
