So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

I backed a horse today that came in at 20 to 1

Pity the others had come in by 12 o'clock though

Look who is out of the pouch.......

1 nov 2016.jpg

Mum has been coming every evening for her dinner but her pouch has been empty for the past couple of weeks.  I feared the worst but last night there was bub safe and sound hiding behind Mum.  I figure she was too big for the pouch but too little to safely hold on until now.

Amber, that little one is so sweet. 🙂

I'm glad to see it out with Mum.

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

The very big Mum possum was on the table, as usual, on her own.

Her little girl came along the bridge from under the pergola, then saw me through the window.

She flattened down onto the bridge and looked at me with really wide eyes... there's..... a person.....in the window.....

Mum stood up and looked - "I thought I heard someone up there...".

She looked again (not that she moved, that would mean leaving the food, ha ha), but she made the effort to look, and look concerned, anyway.

The little girl decided that no matter how strange, or even a bit scary the person in the window was, she was courageous enough to continue along the bridge (still flattened down, and with that "There's something scary, there" look), and down to the table, where she joined Mum.

Momentarily, before there was an adventure to be had, somewhere over there... Ha ha.

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

The big table looks a bit odd.

It started out from a plan for a potting bench - a solid top and a shelf underneath, that is slightly larger than the top.

If you think of the top as being 1 by 2, the shelf is 1 1/2 by 2.

It sticks out a bit, just enough to be a convenient place to put things, without having to put them on top.

Such as food, which I don't necessarily want the cockatoos dancing in, because they will, ha ha.

About 1/3 of the way down one of the legs, there's a small shelf which I added on for a very good reason, which I no longer remember, ha ha.

Adult possums, and the occasional cat, have discovered that they can step onto the bottom shelf, up onto the little shelf and onto the top, without too much difficulty.

Little girl daughter of the very big Mum possum, on the other hand, is still a bit small to negotiate the obstacle course, comfortably.

Which doesn't mean she doesn't try, ha ha.

Okay... I'm on the table, and I've climbed over so that my front feet are on the little shelf... now I'm a bit uncertain as to what to do... and then Over I go!

Not too long after that, a little face appears over the edge of the table, and up she climbs, again.

She loves that table. There's bridges and ramps and shelves to climb on... and food, don't forget food, ha ha.

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

Thinking out loud...

I've been looking at this picture and wondering if it wouldn't work on a circular, or more or less circular, background.

Okay, it's static, so it doesn't have the visual impact of a gif, but just as a thought, could I take something which is fairly much a circle and apply the design, or something similar, to it?

I envisage that it would be a very simple incised carving, and use wood stain for highlights, as in the example below; a simple three legged stool.

Don't worrry, it's just me thinking out loud, ha ha.
