This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

I made a "square" wooden arch out in the back yard, ages back...
It looks a bit like it's been made from wooden ladders - two ladders for the long bits and a half ladder for the top.
As an arch goes, it does the job... ha ha.
Seeing as it's flat on top, I thought it needed a flat piece on the top, a sort of (yet another) "feeding platform" (ha ha), so I got around to cutting out a piece of plywood for it.
I took it out and "measured" it - which means sitting it in place just to check that it's all okay... yep, no worries, it looks great...
Burt the kookaburra watched the proceedings with mild fascination and said he thought that it was a good idea to put some kind of platform there, or, in his words... "It'll cap it all off...".
Having said that, he disappeared off across the suburb, hooting with laughter at the cleverness of his joke... ha ha.

I could hear the high pitched twittering getting closer, a sure sign of the impending wren invasion... ha ha.
Yep, there's flash of blue on the fence, and something small and brown moved in the undergrowth...
I could hear the third voice, without being able to place it, not far behind...
The last time I saw little Junior wren, the brown bird with the blue tail, must be a couple of days ago...
He's not the little wren I knew, ha ha...
He's got blue cheeks, and a blue neck, now... not as iridescent blue as his Father, but he's definitely growing into manhood.
When I saw him I commented on his new plumage...
Praise, with praise on top of that, with an extra helping of praise on that... ha ha.
I've never seen a little wren so puffed up with pride... ha ha.
He was noticed! ha ha.
At least now I can tell him and his Mother apart - no more "two little brown birds", but I think it could be as little as a matter of days before I'll find that I won't be able to tell him and his Father apart, ha ha.
They grow up so quickly, ha ha.
