Last night I got home late and much to my surprise there were two little fuzzy people waiting by the driveway...

On seeing the car, the smaller one headed for the undergrowth, and the larger one jumped onto a tree near the driveway, and clung onto it...

I don't know how firmly you'd need to cling when you're only twenty or so centimetres off the ground, but I suppose it's not so much about practicality as it is for theatrical effect, ha ha.

"Where were you? We were worried... We had to wait here for you, to make sure that you'd come home...".

Such devotion... ha ha.

It's as bad as the cockatoos following me up to the shops... ha ha.

Come the end of the day, the bulk of the birds have gone...

I'm left with half a dozen currawongs who are happily hopping around the garden, looking for the last bits of leftovers...

This lot are bold, confident... They don't fly away if I get too close...

Yep, these currras don't run....

Well they thought  it was funny... ha ha.

Two mother possums...

Two little possums...

One, the last time I saw, was still riding on Mum's back.

The other, when she's not trotting along behind Mum, amuses herself by "exploring"...

Can I climb that? Of course I can climb that... Why wouldn't I be able to climb that...? Oh no, now I'm stuck... ha ha.

Inside a month, the smaller one will be doing that, too...

Then I won't be able to tell any of them apart, ha ha.
