The question is not how many Tabs you have open but whether or not you'll be able to drink them all before they go flat... ha ha.

I was putting some bread on the bridge... opposite me is the currawong, the intended recipient of the bread, waiting two or three steps away on another bridge...

To my left is a cockatoo who, once I put the bread down, felt compelled to investigate - "What are you doing? Is that food?", ha ha.

My hand was hovering over the bridge, I'd just put the bread down and the wattlebird appeared...

And landed on my hand...

Well I suppose it was closer to the bread than the bridge was, ha ha.

A year ago, as his offspring do, now, he would've sat patiently waiting for me to go away before he moved...

That was a year ago...

Now, he's perfected the "I'm deeply disappointed that you forgot me" look if I don't take something special out for him, when I go out into the garden, ha ha.

I don't know what it is with these birds, all I've done is treat them fairly and reasonably...

Well alright, spoil them, just a little bit... ha ha.
