This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

"we've have different handles" .... ooops! That's a cross between "we've put different handles in" and "we have different handles" ....
...... so indeed, we do have different handles ... ![]()

Different handles... Yes, I can envisage that... ha ha.

If a mate's laying a cement slab for a garage floor, don't, while being absent mindedly helpful, step onto the slab because you want to grab something from "just over there"...
That's not a great idea... ha ha.
The upshot being that I now have a right foot elastic sided boot without a partner... ha ha.
Somewhere in the slab there's a left boot... In years to come someone'll find it and wonder what kind of goose left one boot behind... ha ha.
Funny moments... Funny moments... ha ha.
About a week ago I was walking past a shoe shop and I saw a pair of work boots through the window...
Lace ups, zipper on the side, not bad, not bad at all... ha ha.
And then I go and lose my boot...
Ooh... The Universe is working in the most mysterious of ways...
Of course, rational thinkers would say it's all coincidence, but I'd rather credit the Universe with being mysterious... it's more fun that way... ha ha....

There were five of these, two pairs and a spare, in for the evening gorging feeding... ha ha.
They're very gentle and timid birds, unless, of course, you're another bird...
They're not above using their fearsome appearance to their advantage... ha ha.
"Get out of my way, other bird... I'm the size of a cockatoo, and I've got a big beak... and just in case you hadn't noticed, I'm charging towards you...", ha ha.

Literally seconds before...
These two had been sitting on the branch, sleeping...
And then they saw the camera, and of course they had to pose.... ha ha.

The young possum, because I can't really call her little, anymore, ha ha, stopped at the bottom of the ramp, sniffed the air and decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to go up the ramp... Someone might be up there... ha ha.
So she turned round and disappeared into the night...
Not too long after that, Mum possum turned up on the bridge above, snuffling around... the reason, I think, that the youngster had a change of heart, if not direction, ha ha.
For reasons only fathomable to a certain young possum, she took the circuit route, up to the bridge... where Mum was...
And at the last moment realised that she'd made a crucial error of judgement... ha ha.
There was a thump...
There was a squeal...
There was a young possum exiting the scene, at speed... ha ha.
Closely followed by Mum...
You know, young possum, she really does want you to move out... ha ha.
"You give six months of your life to raising and nurturing them, they hang on your every word... and then suddenly they're six months old and deaf to your requests to move on, and get on with their lives...", ha ha.
Credit where credit is due, the youngster did solve the problem of there not being enough room in the possum house for two...
She moved into one of the other houses, ha ha.
