This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Mother possum likes to get out the front and grunt and snort and chuckle into the night, from time to time...
That usually lasts for a couple of minutes before she runs out of things to say... ha ha...
The older male possum showed everyone how it's done, last night, with a marathon near half hour of chuckling and growling...
I think, and it's only a thought, mind, that there might have been a lady possum who was the intended recipient of his love song, ha ha.
This close to the Solstice, if I believe the weather man, the nights are four and a half hours longer round these parts than they are in the middle of the Summer.
That should give him plenty of quality crooning time, ha ha...

What splendid fun and joy you folks bring to this thread .... ![]()
I haven't been here for a little while, but I knew as soon as I looked in here, it would be smiles all around .... thank you .... ![]()
There seem to be a few "what's wrong with" certain States in Australia on the forum at the moment .. the only thing I can think of is "what's wrong with witchetty grubs?"

That takes me back... Allen's used to make them and you could get bags of them at the local milk bar.
As kids we'd build a fire in the back yard and sit around "toasting" them on special toasting forks we'd fashioned for the purpose... ha ha.

Witchetty grubs look very much alike, and if I had two of them I might not be able to tell them apart...
I expect I'd find myself asking "Which witchetty is which?"...
That's all that I could think of that might be wrong with them... ha ha...

It got down to minus 4.4 degrees, this morning... They did say there was a good chance of frost, ha ha ...
That was recorded at 3.30 in the morning... The sun doesn't rise until about 7, and you'd be an optimist to think that it'll warm up much before about 9... ha ha... Or should I say Brrr... ha ha...
Predictably enough, the bird bath froze over...
While I was trying to get the ice out in one piece, the big wattlebird landed on the rim of the birdbath, opposite me...
And looked at me with that special look that requires no words... ha ha...
So I temporarily gave up on the birdbath and went and got him something to eat... ha ha...
He turned up a couple of days ago, obviously having visited a flower...
He had a golden halo of pollen all around his beak where it meets his face...
I don't know where he'd he'd find flowers at this time of year, maybe he has a special arrangement with a local florist, ha ha...
