the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

This is a thread with no particular

Topic so no one can be off topic ๐Ÿ™‚

So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Can we keep politics and religion out

Of the conversation

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

One of the lesser acts featured here at "Cirque du Shoulder - Carnival of Pain", which has fast become a front of stage favourite is called "Tucking a shirt into my jeans"...

I can push the shirt down, past the waistband, but moving my hand back up is an experience in itself...

It's not only the front of the shoulder that objects, but the bulbous lump of muscles on the top and side of the shoulder that go out in sympathy, as well...

"Would you like paralysis with that pain?"

Why not? Have the shoulder lock, freeze in place, and hurt as well, for good measure...

There's rarely a dull moment here at Cirque du Shoulder, ha ha...

There's nothing that I can't do with the arm, the shoulder, but there are lots of things that I really shouldn't do, as I remind myself, as often as not several times a day...ha ha.

It's hard not to live the habits I had before the injury. It's easy to do the things that I've always done, easier than remembering that sometimes, doing those things comes at a cost.

But I keep smiling because it's one thing I have left that hasn't suffered wear and tear to the degree that other parts have.

I might as well enjoy what I have that still works, ha ha...

At least you are getting some excercise.

It takes 26 muscles to smile.

If you want to go overboard - it takes 62 to frown.

Dom, they'd have to be the broad, gauzy kind, rather than the thin, sewing thread variety.

You wouldn't get a lot of coverage with the ones here, ha ha...

It's a bit of a hike from here to the nearest stables, and depending on the severity of the injury, I might not make it... ha ha...

The only broad web I can think of, round here, sits in very close proximity to a venomous spider who may not appreciate the urgency of my need, and may, instead, only add to my catalogue of woes... ha ha...

For the time being, a tea towel does the trick, ha ha...

Dom, I find it only takes one muscle for me to smile - my heart... ha ha...

Thing I wish I could really stop doing is the jolt of my body just as I drift off asleep.
It hurts my arm so much..
I cry out in pain.
It just happened.
Buffy got scared and ran away
I'm wishing my arm would fall off and I didn't get a nap because I had the jolt just as I was drifting off
So now I'm in pain and peed off

I knew it had a name.
A hypnic jerk is a brief and sudden involuntary contraction of the muscles of the body which occurs when a person is beginning to fall asleep, often causing the person to jump and awaken suddenly for a moment. Hypnic jerks are one form of involuntary muscle twitches called myoclonus
