This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

I don't know where to start, ha ha...
Some months back Mum possum turned up with a little one riding on her back, and decided that this wasn't such a bad spot, so she took up residence.
Mother, the matriarch here, didn't seem to mind, so Mum, and the little possum who became known as Bub (I know, sometimes the breadth of my imaginativeness when it comes to naming them astounds even me, ha ha) settled in...
He's got to be about eight or nine months old, now. He's cut the apron strings and moved out of the maternal nest... He's an independent young possum, now... If moving some 20 or so feet along the bridge to the next house, and setting up shop there is such a bold move, ha ha...
Mum, now free of the encumbrance of her son enjoyed her brief taste of freedom before deciding that she, being a wild animal as she is, could come and go as she pleased, so she went... ha ha.
She's out there in the big world, somewhere, no doubt preparing for the next round of motherhood...
In the meantime, Mother possum, not to be outdone, fell pregnant, ha ha, so now there's her little one - Calliope-Ann, shortened to "See" because it's easier to write, ha ha.
Oh, the perils of letting the possums name their own offspring... ha ha...
So, there's a young man possum, yet to bloom into the full glory of manhood, and a little one who's yet to find the strength, or perhaps the courage to leave the relative comfort and safety afforded by her mum.
Children everywhere! A mother possum being a mother possum, and to add variety, a resident fully grown male possum...
He's an absolute sweetheart, one of Nature's gentlemen, and dare I say a good role model for the younger male...
The older male had a lady friend over for a liaison, a couple of nights back...
Apart from some squeaking noises late in the evening, I wouldn't have known that they were there.
There was none of the thunderous chasing, over roof and bridge, as has happened in the past.
It would seem that his method of seduction is much more subtle...
As I said, one of Nature's true gentlemen, ha ha....
Are they glad to see me? Glad might be an understatement, ha ha....
Little Bub possum, if he hears me during the day, doesn't just peer out of the possum house doorway, inquisitively, as the others might...
I've barely time to draw breath to say "Don't come out, the birds'll get upset,..." and he's already half way out of the house, ha ha...
"But you're my very good friend and I can't pass up an opportunity to see what you're doing... What are you doing? And does it involve me getting a treat?", ha ha.
He's a cheeky little man, ha ha...
I'd best be off - life is making, once again, demands of my time...
It's shaping up to be a beautiful, clear, sunny afternoon, and I'll probably spend the bulk of it indoors, ha ha...
Keep smiling...

It's going to take time Martin, but it will come right, you'll see xx

Martin, the shoulder's good.
I credit a string of relatively warm days and nights for that.
I find it tends to play up in the cold, but I managed to get through last night's 9 degrees unscathed, so I'm counting myself lucky, ha ha...
I was at the doctor's, sitting alone in the waiting room.
He came out of his office and said "Ah, sitting with all of your friends...", cheekily...
Not to be outdone I said, in a hushed tone... " Oh, you can see them too..."... ha ha.
That got a laugh from him, ha ha.
Another observation for the day -
If you're going to try to read Henry Lawson's story The loaded dog to cockatoos, you'll get two or three pages along and they'll start roaring with laughter and you'll have to read that last page all over again...
Perhaps several times, because it's just Too funny not to repeat... ha ha.
I can't do the same with the possums, by the time they all get up it's too dark... ha ha...

Teenage boys aren't the only ones whose voices break...
There's a pair of peewits, magpie larks, who have raised a fine youngster, hereabouts...
The garden is subject to regular visits from the young bird, who likes to test their vocal skills...
"Pea! Pea! Pea! Errk!", ha ha...
The blue wrens have descended upon "Their" garden, once again, ha ha...
Now there's four of them, who boldly challenge my presence, should I venture outside when they're about... ha ha...
"Hey, You! What do you think you're doing in Our garden?"...
They're not even the size of a golf ball and yet they have the hearts of lions... ha ha.

Good morning ecar and all.
I've only ever had a mild shoulder injury that I caused myself with a large heavy gate that I was closing .. talk about getting in my own way ... ![]()
So a more serious injury I know, for you chaps, is going to take a long time to heal, it's such an awkward place to take care of.
Here's hoping it will not be too long and stressful though .. ![]()
