Think of all the wonderful Freedoms that Grown Ups have!
Ha! If only I'd known what "With freedom comes responsibility" really meant when I was young...
I thought that all I had to do was turn 18 and a Magical world full of possibilities and adventures would await me...
I was Mostly right... ha ha...
There were some things about being an adult that I had to find out for myself...
The same can be said for the youngish-ish possum who was visiting a couple of nights ago....
Mum's around somewhere, while little possum "explores" and learns about the world....
Do you see that adult possum approaching, little possum?
It might not be mum... It might not be too pleased to see you, either... ha ha...
Time to scamper away, like a good little possum should, ha ha....
There's nowhere in that little possum's experience, to date, where an adult isn't someone who knows you, or is friendly....
But now it knows otherwise...
Beyond the look the surprise on the young possum's face when it dawned on it that that the big possum wasn't mum, there was no harm done... ha ha...
Growth and learning, they're good, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I wish there was a handbook I could have studied beforehand, ha ha...
