This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

The passing of the 75th anniversaries of the atomic bombings of both Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been duly, solemnly and respectfully noted, and acknowledged.
But still the fruits of the arms race, the Cold War remain, tucked safely away in their silos and shelters, awaiting their call to arms.
The man who is arguably the most powerful man in the World still carries a briefcase, every day, with the necessary codes to launch a nuclear strike...
The doomsday clock is still set at Two Minutes to Midnight.
Two minutes, and counting...
To quote from Roger Waters' song, The tide is turning...
"Used to look in on the children at night
In the glow of their Donald Duck light
And frighten my self with the thought of my little ones burning...".
The past didn't go away, just because something else grabbed our attention.
It's still there, it''s still real.
Hug your children, and tell them that you love them.

It rained solidly for the last two days and nights...
We might say "We need the rain", but I doubt the people down on the South Coast feel exactly the same.
Here, we got a good drop, but down that way they're facing flooding.
There was a story on the ABC news that I half caught - a lady being interviewed in front of her house...
On one side of the screen is the house, on the other is flood water lapping at the edge of her property, and just to the side of her, behind her, were two huge kangaroos, relaxing on the lawn....
I had to look twice... ha ha....
If you're reading this then you[re still up and going, and I don't think I could ask for anything more, given the circumstances, ha ha...
Stay well, people...

They certainly don't make them as they used to.
Now it seems - it is a blight on their ' freedoms ' - both here and in the US.
The question : ' why should I ??
The question : Why don't you ??

SovCits they call themselves apparently.
One Facebook group popular with Australian sovereign citizens has more than 16,400 members. Members discuss strategies for avoiding fines and have even collaborated with fringe political players and micro-parties.

A "freedom march" is planned in Melbourne on Sunday.
Police outnumbered those who turned up

This a bit of ' how did I know that would happen '.
Stove update.
New stove delivered - organised delivery for a very wet Saturday - messaged the gas plumber - he asked what time - quite a few messages went by
Told him - he then said - don't work weekends. OH LOL - I could have had it delivered Monday.
Anyhoos - bright spark saleperson - Matthew - spent 10 minutes explaining new stoves - electric ovens have a lead going to an outlet - has to be 15amp - aren't they all?? - not hardwired.
Ok - the - got the electricians to remove the hardwiring from the old - insert a plug - now small hole in wall. No Prob - waiting for the new arrival.
The gas guys arrived Monday morning - took out the old - brought in the new - guess what - it's hardwired.
All set up with a gas cooktop - electricians working further down the coast - coming tomorrow - say they can run a lead from the oven - to the new existing outlet.
Talk about - they don't make them like they used to.
May have a few words with Matthew - when I'm allowed out.

Bummer.
I don't know that I could cook with an electric oven.
Always been a gas person. It's instant on and off.
Also, I need to spray water in the oven for my bread to 'steam' cook.
Can't do that with an electric oven
