This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

Ecar - I think I have just purchased his/their holiday home away from home.
All good with the water damage - electricians - idiot back to redo the new roof.
Yesterday the oven/stove - packed it in - this kitchen goddess chucked dinner in the oven - went off to watch a quiz show - just to check the grey cells. lol
Half hour later - the oven barely warm - dinner - well - toasted sammies.
Bought a new Westinghouse yesterday - yea - made in Adelaide - but I can almost bet from parts - from you know where.
Now it is the juggle - the old Belling - duel fuel - was hard wired electrically - new duel fuel needed a 15amp new wall plug - OK all sorted - now need the plumber to connect & rid me of the old one.
Love this staying at home.
Raining here.

Minus 14.2 degrees... Colder than Antarctica!
Well done, Tasmania! ha ha...
Casey station, in Antarctica, only managed a meagre minus 12...
I'll stop grumbling, now, about it getting down to minus 4, here, ha ha....
Stay warm, people...

I was in London in the Summer, in early 1990's when there was a "heatwave" and I remember the usually green, grassy hill at Greenwich being dry and brown.
To Australian eyes, this was nothing unusual...
To the Londoner's eyes, though, it was nothing short of catastrophic...
So much for England's green and pleasant fields... on my travels I noted that some of it was beginning to resemble the land round Northern Victoria - mostly brown, with only the occasional patch of green... ha ha...
I spent some time while I was in the UK with a man who designed and built golf courses and remember him bemoaning the fact that the weather was starting to dry out, and changing the way he worked. He jokingly said, over a couple of beers, that he should hire an Australian as a consultant, because we better understood hot and dry climates, ha ha...
Even thirty years ago the climate was already beginning to change.
