I have had my patience tested.
The result came back negative... ha ha...
A friend asked me if I could give them a hand setting up their new TV...
How hard can it be to attach two plastic feet to the base of a TV?
Let's start with the screws...
Rather than pointy ends, which would make aligning them with the holes easy, these had flat ends...
And... as an added bonus... the screws were very slightly larger than the holes...
I started out with a manual screwdriver... after all, how difficult could this be?
Well, if I'd wanted to be there, still, next week, and have developed shoulders like an Olympic powerlifter, I would have continued...
But being cynical as I am, the words "Help me put a TV together" lends me to think that an array of power tools sitting conveniently on the back seat of the car will probably come in handy, ha ha.
I produced the power drill with the Phillips head bit in it, and of course got the predictable comment - "You don't think that's too small, do you?', ha ha.
Well, after all that, it's set up, it works, it even receives HD channels without an antenna... What a miracle of modern engineering it is, ha ha.
And if I never have to wrestle with one again put one together again I'll count myself a happy person...ha ha.
