This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Bungee jumping is something I could never imagine myself doing.
Having said that, I have jumped out of a perfectly good, working aeroplane.
That was scary enough.
The pilot said if I wanted to, next time we could try it while the plane wasn't just sitting on the tarmac, ha ha...

There have been rumours of snow, but so far it's just damp and cold down here in suburbia.
A combination of lower altitude, cement driveways and roof tiles galore means it's just too warm for the snow to settle.
Both the old man cockatoos who have been regular visitors these past few weeks have come in for a feed, so they're coping, ha ha...
Me, not so well... The usual "It's cold, Really cold, Pay attention! cold, ha ha" earache is troubling me, again.
It's amazing what a hand warmer tucked into the side of a beanie can do relief-wise, though,, ha ha...
I'm pretty sure that an extra helping of banana and sunflower kernels won't go astray, with this evenings "breakfast" for the possums, Gotta keep that calorie intake up... ha ha...
Hopefully things aren't too bad out your way, no having to climb out a window so you can shovel snow away from the door so you can get outside in relative comfort, ha ha...
Stay cheerful, have a good one, don't freeze, and keep in mind that there's no point in being frugal with the electricity on a day like this, hopefully tomorrow things will be warmer and none of us will need the heater on, again.

Afternoon everyone ...
Just here for a moment while I show you what is happening about this "knitted nativity" project for Christmas.
(I did warn you that it was about Christmas so I know you will forgive me) ...
I'm knitting a camel similar to this .. mainly because I noticed the pattern doesn't have one (camel)! The only problem will be that the camel is taller than the people .. so I'll make sure it is far away in the distance. I suppose technically we will need three though ... "We Three Kings" and all that? .. might just end up as "We Three Camels" though.
A friend is knitting this whole scene one at a time for us ...the pattern is designed by the wonderful English craft designer Alan Dart.
The first one is finished ...
Will keep you up to date with the pattern progress as they are finished.
If I have anything to do with it, this Christmas is going to be very special in this house this year, if not a little quirky ...

Very nice, Tas. A good project.
Can I recommend patterns by Jean Greenhowe?
I knitted a nativity scene years ago - and gave it to next door, who were religious.
They then promptly gave it to their baby to chew on and ruin. All that work!
I used to knit a lot of Jean Greenhowe dolls to sell.
My fingers won't let me knit anymore, so knit as long as you can.

That is a lovely pattern stawks .. I'm not very good at knitting really, but I might have a quiet go it and see what happens, thank you xxx
The camel is coming along nicely, but it's more than simple because everything is done in garter stitch and squares; the way it is sewn up gives it shape which means, thankfully, so I don't have to shape it.
I knitted an elephant once, but it caused a great deal of sniggering as it was impossible to tell the trunk from the tail .. knitting, for me, didn't quite turn out to be, well, knitting ..
Then there was a sweater and somehow, it ended up with two sleeve holes on the same side so that wasn't exactly successful either .. .... some people just should not knit! I can make nice teddy bears though ..
That's awful about your beautiful nativity set going to waste like that after all the work you must have put into it. Shame on them!
