This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

I've had to make a start on some more croco-pegs, I gave the last one away yesterday.
Big smiles?
Their face lit up as though they were having every birthday they'd ever had, all at the same time.
People are funny. Give them a clothes peg that's been whittled a bit and they can't stop smiling, ha ha.
🙂
One of the girl birds turned up with her baby and husbird in tow.
She's a long time regular, she's knows she'll be spoilt when she comes here. 🙂
She's usually pretty shy, but this morning she nearly fell over her own feet in her rush to get to me, no, not me, the food, I'm not that silly, ha ha.
There's a bird, I'm not sure if he's young or old, he's a bit scruffy looking and has an overgrown beak. He picked up fairly quickly on the idea that he can get extra food if he does his impression of Napoleon's army in retreat from Moscow - poor bedraggled half starved me... Cheeky thing, ha ha.
They all have their particular methods. There's one who likes to take my beanie off, if he's not in another vantage point, tugging at my sleeves, or on the ground, vigorously trying to pull my tracksuit pants down. He's one to watch, especially in the Summer, because he conveniently forgets that there's a difference between bare skin and clothing, and can sometimes none too gently grab a hold. "Oh, you mean that wasn't shirt? I got your attention, though...". Wicked little bird.
I've been trying to teach Donny a new joke - What do you call an alligator who wears a vest when it's working? An investigator.
She's very deliberately not seeing the funny in that, ha ha.

ecar, are you going to paint the croc pegs?

Talk about great minds thinking alike...
I was Googling the croco-pegs a couple of days ago and found this and put a copy of it in the "Looks interesting, I should get back to that" folder.
I had thought about using food colouring - a decent few drops in a glass of water and leave the crocodile/s to soak, overnight.
Paint is a good option, I don't know about the goggle eyes, though, ha ha.

Where's the doormat?.
It starts out innocently enough - Is there anything under the doormat which might be of interest to an inquisitive cockatoo?
The corner of the doormat is lifted with some difficulty...
It's quite funny watching a cockatoo wrestling with a rubber doormat - "No... I want you to bend That way, I want you to bend This way...".
Having decided that that isn't working, they resort to dragging the doormat aside.
And things go rapidly downhill from there, usually because other birds decide to join in.
They're not sure what it is that they're joining in on, but dragging the mat looks like fun...
Thankfully, it's not quite as light as a water dish, so they don't manage to get airborne with it.
Thankfully, ha ha.

Goggle eyes ....
Maybe some tiny pebbles?
Another beautiful day in Tasmania today, and having this as a 'holiday' week is really giving me time to do all sorts of things that otherwise would be left in the lurch.
The quilters will be here tomorrow and they are threatening to bring pancakes with all kinds of berries so it will be my job to supply gallons of maple syrup (the real stuff of course) ... we will get a lot of Christmas quilting done but it always ends up as a banquet as well, happy chaos ... ![]()
Roll on Christmas!!!

Hey Stawks, I think I'll try to make a santa claus pancake ... ![]()

All these pancakes may call for extra supplies.
Perhaps you should take a run into Hobart and pick some up at batter-y point.
(Okay, not one of my best. LOL).
