the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

This is a thread with no particular

Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂

So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Can we keep politics and religion out

Of the conversation

I did not have anything like that, thank goodness....just the usual onion weed, creeping oxalis, the odd thistle (bought back from the horse paddock I do suspect) and dandelions.

When I say we did it late in the day I don't mean at night.....it was the last thing to be done after a day in the garden...usually about 4pm when there was still plenty of heat to dry it quickly.

I still can't poison.  The cat eats her dinner and then wails to go outside to do

her business.

She doesn't come in until dusk most nights, to curl up for the night.

With the cockatoos out of the way, for the day, I put the food on the table for everyone else.

There are graduated levels sheer nerve courage with the currawongs.

Some hang back, waiting for me to move on, some are much more interested in the food, and I'm someone who gets in the way, ha ha.

They're not quite up to hand feeding, but they don't mind telling me that my hand isn't moving fast enough when it comes to laying out the food. Cheeky things.

With the food more or less where they wanted it, I moved on, and the crow came down.

He found a piece of bread and sat, perched on a branch over the table, while the currawongs pretty much ignored him, and squabbled amongst themselves, in, and on, the food.

Mother magpie flies in and lands on the arch that joins onto the table.

She's half way along the arch, on her way to the table when she sees the crow...

And the squawking begins....

Poor crow, he's sitting on the branch, he's eating some bread, he's out of everyone's way but that's not good enough for mother magpie.

He did the decent thing and left, anything to make the noise stop, ha ha.

She jumps down onto the table, grabs A, one, one single piece, of macaroni and flies off.

All that effort... Ha ha.

She's a bossy old thing.

🙂

On a soggy old day like this, nothing warms the heart like having a bedraggled galah bleating excitedly, and charging towards me.

The potato vine has managed to form a sort of canopy over a couple of the bridges, and she was sitting there, not quite in the dry, looking absolutely miserable, so I took pity on her and took some food out.

I don't think she could've been happier, ha ha.

It's you!

It's wonderful you!!

Put the food There!

Put the food THERE!!

Poor little dear, ha ha.

🙂
