Say, three big bits of raisin toast crust...?
I know you like them... ha ha.
Option one, get there before you get up and very, very carefully slide them into the doorway where you'll find them...
Option two, don't worry, it's all going to be too much hassle, and if you don't have the bread then you won't miss it...
Option three, put on a glove, a Heavy glove, because you're up...ha ha.
You're never quite sure about hands, so you prefer the "pounce on it" method...
That one doesn't work for me as I then spend half an hour drenching myself with dettol (and sometimes Scotch) and trying to clean such wounds as there are, as well as I can...
I could wear a glove... A heavy glove... but...
Possums have this knowledge handed down through the generations - they know a glove when they see it...
And their automatic reaction is to pounce on it, teeth and all... ha ha.
Maybe I should just get a stick and casino croupier style gently edge the food towards you... ha ha.
They're cute, and they're cuddly... to look at...
They've seen me every day since they emerged into the world...
They know me, they like me, they trust me...
And They're Wild Animals...
No matter how much "love" there might be, instinct overrides.... ha ha.
Love the bread, hate the hand... sorry, that's just how it is... ha ha.
