This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

There was a bit of rain, today... ha ha.
The rainbow lorikeets got tired of getting wet no matter where they perched, so they ended up on the cross rail of the pergola, under the roof...
It's a perfect parrot sized gap, and they managed to fit a dozen or twenty of them in... ha ha
"We've got our comfortable dry spot, we'll be right", ha ha.
There was only a half dozen or so birds on the bird perch, but at least they were using it for what it's meant to be used for, ha ha.
You know it's wet when...
The galah presents himself at the back door...
That's unusual...
He's not frightened of me, but I'd lean towards saying timid, or shy... ha ha.
"Aren't you usually happy over there in the garden?"...
"It's wet, I'm hungry... Anyway, everybody knows if you turn up at the back door you'll get food...", ha ha.
I don't know what's in the rain...
Most of the birds were content to be grumpy about the fact that they were wet...
But not the wrens...
Just as an aside, I know that they can and do throw their voices, (because they've discovered that they can have copious amounts of fun at my expense, that way... ha ha), so maybe I was "hearing things", but they were at one end of the garden and it sounded, quite clearly, like there was at least one other wren at the other end of the garden...
Hmmm...
Anyway, the wrens couldn't have been happier that it was raining, ha ha.
They bounced around like they were on little steel springs...
Happy? They redefined happiness, ha ha.
Whatever it is that they eat was in abundant supply, and they were wholeheartedly taking advantage of it, ha ha.
Hopefully the ground will still be damp enough to yield whatever it is that caught and held their attention today, which will mean that they won't have further fun at my expense - I'm really sure that twittering came from over there... but they're all here... how can that be...?
Ever seen little birds, not much bigger than a thumbnail, rolling on the ground, laughing? ha ha.

I was looking through a folder last night and I found a few plastic tags, the kind that come with small plants in punnets...
I think they've been there for a while, they were marked 2013, ha ha.
I'd bought a handful of succulent plants with an eye to creating a rockery of sorts...
Well, that was my plan, ha ha.
The cockatoos, on the other hand...
They saw an all you can eat buffet style salad bar, ha ha.
There goes my idea of beautifying the garden, ha ha...
I can picture it now...
Down at the local mall, the Ladies' Auxiliary have a stall set up...
There's lots of offcut pieces of succulents in little pots on the table...
The cockatoo alights from my shoulder, onto the table...
"That one... That one... That one looks good... And the one with the little flowers, too...", ha ha.
"Okay, but you can't eat them til you get home..."...
"Awww... Go on.... Just a nibble...", ha ha.
