This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

I went out earlier and it didn't seem as hot as yesterday, but before long I started to feel like my skin was burning...
Under my t shirt... ha ha.
I know it's a bit threadbare and light, but come on... ha ha.
I started to think that what I needed was a heavier material, something with a better sun protection factor, but still cool and comfortable...
Bricks and mortar... ha ha, I don't think I can go wrong with that... it's turning into an inside day....ha ha...
This heat's causing fun and games... ha ha.
Imagine this - the top of my foot, from the little and ring toes back to the ankle, just on the top of the foot... it looks like I've neatly put half a barbecue snag on my foot, it's the strangest sight...ha ha.
I don't like to "do" edema in the classic "feet swell up like blimps" way, no, I have to be different, ha ha...
I'll be glad when this heatwave's passed, it's all getting a bit strange, now.... ha ha...

The best thing about hanging bird feeders is their entertainment value...
Once you've finished eating, you climb up above them, then pull the feeder up by one chain, as far as you can go...
Once it can go no further, you release it!
There's an incredible clattering sound and old seed husks go everywhere!
You really can't go past that for entertainment, ha ha...

It was a bit hot, yesterday, again... ha ha.
The old man bird turned up and discovered that much to his disappointment the water dish was all but empty...
Being hot and flustered as he was, he got a little grumpy...
I took the dish out and upended it, then tried to put it back in place... not an easy thing to do with a grumpy, hot, flustered and thirsty old man cockatoo latched onto my finger, ha ha...
He was trying to help me, ha ha... all he wanted was a drink, and there I was fiddling around unnecessarily moving things... ha ha.
We got it all sorted out, in the end,... he got his drink and I came away with my finger intact... ha ha.
"I have your finger, now bring it, and whatever you're holding, that I want, over here where I want it...", ha ha.
He's very careful to apply just the right amount of pressure with his beak - a firm, but gentle grip, unless, as he was, grumpy, in which case I knew he was holding my finger, ha ha.
He didn't break the skin, or leave a bruise, but he made it obvious that he wasn't in a mood to be trifled with... ha ha.
It's funny, he came back a couple of hours later, after the temperature had dropped, and was his usual sunny, cheerful self...
He's not alone in finding that as the temperature rises, his temper shortens... ha ha.
