3. my printer stopped working
all in a 2 week window

Hat Trick
Sorry, that sucks, hope your luck improves

well ive fixed the key
waiting for a new TV to be delivered
waiting for a new printer to be delivered
at least tv's and printers dont cost as much as they once did
im getting a 50 inch tv for half what i paid for the 42 inch its replacing (11 years old)
just ordered at $40 printer from Big W for the time being
the old printer must have been 6 or 8 years old
nothings built to last much past warranty these days
so those did pretty good i think

My 3 were -
car key
Phone
TV.
The good thing is I have new car key, phone and TV. Not that I planned on spending money I don't have for any of them...

I have a 1968 model car and the key still works as good as the day it left the factory. Just wish the cost to fill the tank was still the same.

I,m a little bit superstitious about the three's thing. I,ve had two snake bites in the last few years and genuinely worried I might not get off lightly if it happens again. Those two where red belly blacks, ( not immediately fatal, but they can cause slow death through longer term organ failure ) The red belly blacks are literally everywhere. The dog found one yesterday and I would see at least one per week but I also regularly come across Eastern Browns and I,m often a long way from help.............. I,m getting too old for this caper and really dont want to go through the Ambulance / hospital emergency ICU thing again. The dogs seem to be finding a lot more snakes than in the past too..

Rather than think poor me when issues like your's happen David. I
think arn't I fortunate I can just go buy new replacement items.
I often think of those less fortunate who battle to have the necessities
in life.

if you follow my posts and take the time to read a lot of what i talk about in replies
you will know i think about the less fortunate a lot
i have stood up for the battlers a lot
i have pointed out how when a person is on the lowest rung of the ladder life is not a bowl of cherries
the pensions are not enough to have a decent life on unless you can add to them (by legal means of course)
even those with jobs at the bottom of the working ladder are struggling
this thread is not a 'oh look at me, im poor'
it just shows how in 2 weeks i was in a situation of requiring 3 expensive items to be replaced
on top of the usual bills 'electricity, water, phone, car rego, rates' that are all here right now
yes, i'm lucky i can just buy replacements, but it will take months to rebuild my small bank balance back to where it was.
i will try to sell some of my collections' and cut back on 'nice stuff' when i shop
i'm ok as i have my life set up so i can cover these moments

We've all had those ' come in threes ' - and begin counting again, David.
I think it may just have been a ' Mother Teresa ' moment.
