And we can only hope that the LNP will change their minds, will listen to reason and implement the NBN.

and for those who do not understand how much difference it would make, and are unsure about the bits and bytes, and the difference between FTTP and FTTN

sadly i doubt if i will see it in my lifetime
Yes, it will be a long wait for many, if it is going to take 8 years or more to get around the whole country.
I wonder what effect the LNP NBN policy will have on take up rates? (owners have to pay to get it from the street to their houses/premises now).

I don't pay anything. not a zac. sweet fibre all in fact.
i havent a clue what you just said but thanks for an answer
I have ADSL2 - it costs $80 a month with 250 GB, plus a free landline and free local and long distance calls.
It does everything that my family and I need it to do, and it's way better than when we had wireless in cost and performance.
edit - it also includes free calls between mobiles (8) on the same network.

Plans with that sort of quota for that price did not exist pre NBN.
One thing I noticed here was as the NBN got rolled out Telstra made a huge effort to improve their services and reduce the price.
