I had to try and overtake 2 side by side this morning that were sitting way more than the legal 1.5 metres apart. You'd think they owned the road.

What cyclists dont understand is its a two way street (pardon the pun) if they werent so darned obnoxious about exercising their "rights" and used some caution, common sense and courtesy, the road would be a safer place for all of us. The woman that got "doored" is a perfect example of the type of rider that **bleep** drivers off.

Clearly the same could be said about some drivers too, but where I live there are a larger pecentage of cyclists making a nusiance of themselves than drivers.

Hmmmm, maybe they need to bring in that 1 metre rule, I assume it would work for cyclists the same as it would for drivers. The cyclists should need to be 1 metre clear of a car when overtaking. That might stop some of these incidents from happening, and the cyclists should be much safer.
