After a long time away I return and all I can see is a plethora of political discussions. And most of them saying exactly the same thing. A multitude of copying and pasting from a couple of posters in particular in what seems like an endless stream of anti labor party threads day in and day out.
And the thing is the same topic is often repeated. For example boat people discussions. Why on earth don't those wishing to constantly harp on about them simply find an old discussion about the topic and continue posting on there instead of creating new ones? Or why not set up a topic and call it the "We hate the Labor Party and Julia Gillard because" and add to it every time you find something else to feel obligated to copy from elsewhere and paste here. That way all the discussions are in one place.
This place used to be entertaining, instead it seems to have turned into a anti Labor party discussion forum with a few other threads thrown in which disintegrate into stoushes between posters on here.
Though you lot were all adults? Some of the nastiness going on here is just out and out bullying. Little groups of nasty little girls and boys picking on certain people. Others taking delight in saying that they have screen saved a certain post by someone, no doubt so it can be used against that person another time.
I remember days when there was a lot of laughter happening here.
Seems like there are a certain group of posters who have decided they are in control and woe betide anyone who disagrees with what they post.
And no doubt they will be attacking me for venting here.

I don't think badangel ever posted on CW, I saw them post not so long ago on one of the other boards.

YP, I think your memory is clouded/selective, but that is human nature together with the "good old days" syndrome.
"the loss of the entertaining and fun people who used to post here ". Like Stew, the Pondies, Pammy, Harley?
"share screenshots" I had a CW member find out my address and take, and post here, photographs of my house and vehicles, another posted that I had strangled a cat, also that I was a bankrupt who had swindled a lot of people, even went to the trouble of posting a doctored bankruptcy notice, but was not bright enough to realise the original was on public record.
I agree though, "vigorous" debate then was more entertaining than now, (did you ever visit The Greasy Spoon?) and I do not like porridge threads, or the plethora of myopic political rants.
YP you came (hello) and now you go (good-bye)
Life goes on! (evolution)

Might stick to the Whirlpool forums, a bit more variety.
Whirpool forums - now that rings a bit of a bell - did it jog anyone else's memory.?:|

At some stage it will turn into an attack on someone who posts on here, bringing up what was said previously.
Oh well.
I do agree with the above.

So true, OP, but don't give too much credit to those supposedly in control. They have multiple fake ids (like 20...) for mass reporting and it will catch up with them sooner than they think...
