Last time I was in the lunch room. That was a couple of years ago but there was always a regular crib table, right in the centre of the room.  I can only assume it's still the same.

Perhaps people were more social back then?

When I was in high school (OMG 50 years ago), we played Hearts, in the lunch room.  My husband and I still play it with friends now.  We are big game players.  We get together with our kids a couple times a month for games night.

My boys used to take cards to high school for lunch break games. The youngest left school last year.

Decks, mrgrizz, decks of cards.

I collect swap cards.  They originated as one card out of the deck.

When mum and dad's deck lost one, and were no longer any good for games,

they gave them to the kids.  We took them to school and 'swapped' them for other

pictures on the non- playing side (the back)

There are over 23,000 listings presently.  I have over 80,000 in my collection

and still going.  It seems to be a bottomless pit.

They are still printing decks of cards, so there must be a market.

There are currently 7,400 listings for decks of cards.
