Hands up how many people here have ever had an atheist knock on their door or stop them in the street trying to convert them.

they don't do 'subtle' very well. 😉

very often during this type of discussions the inquisition is brought up; I wouldn't need to go back that far to answer your question. ;-);-)

What do YOU think Bob?

A known conman charged over and over again found a golden tablet and then conveniently lost it. He translated it wearing a hat into 17th century English. By the way the growth of Mormonism is staggering and CHristianity is dying. Mormonism is only 200 yrs ago with plenty of proponents for its truth. So my answer is to you. The book of mormonism is more likely to be true than the bible.

your right meep I am and also normally very tolerant but can't stand people coming to my home and preaching to me or trying to sell me a subscription to a religious magazine.

Keep it nice, I might cry if you write anything upsetting (like not)

Sorry they were JW's and they wanted to sell a magazine about the end of the world or some such subject. I did not look to closely because I was not interested.

being an atheist does not mean you are not a Christian it just means you don't believe in a god.

I see. So it wasn't a subscription at all - it was a magazine.

I just rang a JW friend of mine to check - they don't SELL anything - they give their magazines / books away free and have done for many years.

So, "can't stand people ...... trying to sell give me a subscription to a free religious magazine.".

Glad we cleared that up :-x
