Ms. Mioux.............do you think your son is okay, this heat does strange things to people, he should go and see a dr.
Glad your kitties were okay, even though it was hot inside, wouldnt be anything like the heat outside.
Looking forward to cooler weather tomorrow.
I would be worried about your son, even tho he doesnt seem worried, he needs to drink alot of water.
I know how difficult it is dealing with males........

Hi Deb,
Shopping centres are always cool.
Our house is really cool.
Do you have airconditioning?
Up until a few years ago, I had very long hair, half way down my back......one day I decided to get it cut, my hairdresser said *are you sure*, she wouldnt cut short straight away, but did it bit by bit over a few weeks.........now it is really short, the shortest it has ever been & I love it, couldnt go back to long hair now............anyway, getting too old to be bothered with it......was the best thing I ever did.

we haven't got an air conditioner, but we've changed our minds about it & will get one before next summer
maybe one day I will get my hair cut off, but not quite ready for it yet

@purple_haize wrote:Punch, it seems odd that where you are is losing power all the time.......what have you got that the rest of the hills dont have?
Hope it stays on for you today.
I'm sure they think we're an easy target. Smaller population and a couple of degrees cooler than the burbs so they dont think it will affect us so much. No care factor for the fact we have a higher fire risk than suburban areas and need our phones and computers going.
We're also not stranger to outages, they are pretty regular up here.

that is so unfair Punch.
we have no risk here but are on the same grid as the hospital, we have not lost power at all

That doesnt seem fair Punch.
We have our fair share of power outages as well and you would think they (power co) would use their brains and know that those of us that live in the hills need the power...........cant even use a land line, when the power goes off or comp etc..
Why dont they take the power from people that dont have trees and bush all around them.......

Deb........I think our summers are going to be hot each year, investing in a air conditioner is the way to go. We have a reverse cycle, but rarely use the heat one.
Our a/conditioner has been on non stop since monday on 22deg.............heaven!!

I think you're right about our summers getting hotter PH.

but I'd miss it if I had it cut
I think sweat turns hair curly because that is what was happening to mine...
