Just a heads up for anyone in the market for a new nVidia GTX graphics card.
You may have noticed a flood of GTX 1060s at incredibly cheap prices on ebay. Well, a quick check and you will see that these are all from Chinese sellers, and whether they state they're from Australia or China makes no difference, these cards are all FAKE.
There's a short article from guru3d, which covers the details of the cards. In short the cards have a modified BIOS to report them as GTX 1060s, when in fact, as the one tested in the article, they're most likely GTX 450s.
The dead give away, without needing to investigate any further, is that these so-called GTX 1060s have VGA connectors. VGA connectors haven't been around on nVidia GTX cards for a while now.
If you don't already know what I'm talking about here's one example...
Dodgy B*st*rds! ๐
You can check out the guru3d story, and the subsequent comments, here...
Of course, this is nothing new, it seems to have happened before...

And also of course, Ebay seemingly does nothing about it. Despite any money back claims, they must still be making money from these sellers ๐
So BUYER BEWARE, especially on Ebay ๐
