Motorola Xoom tablet

I have had my 10" Xoom tablet for a while now and over the last few months it freezes quite regularly and sometimes needs to be rebooted 4 times before it comes good. I have read that this is quite common with the Xoom and to do a factory reset on it which will wipe out everything. I also read where the reset doesn't make any difference, it will still freeze.

 

I am thinking of buying the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8" which I liked when I played with it and also has some good reviews.  Do you think I need to worry about fixing the Xoom (is it on its way out) or just purchase the Samsung? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
