lunch was nice .... picked up aunt & uncle (pain in the butt) and took them to mums .... then dropped them back to train station later ....

uncle was as per usual (PIB) ..... made snide comments when I didnt want him to come with me to look at the vaccies .... didnt know if I wanted to buy one today ....mainly wanted a look .... and he is on a walking frame .... is almost blind and partially deaf ..... but contankerous as all get out most of the time! so you can see why I didnt need his 'assistance' to buy a vaccie 😉

then on way back to station .... we are in the car about 3mins and hes complaining about no aircon getting to him ... he was in the back seat .... and only just turned the ruddy thing on ..... crikey .... had to bite my tongue .....!

but lunch was delicious and I got to bring seconds home ..... so bonus LOL

Peela, oh my 😞 I've found that some elderly get very cantankerous...sad though. Ohh that's good you got to bring leftovers home. So sorry you were caught in the middle with his comments.

Could you all please say your prayers for here in Tucson, AZ. Horrible horrible major shooting that happened this morning. There was a single gunman who opened fire at folks at a grocery store outside. A political event was held outside and our Congresswoman was shot in the head, many injured people, and a 9 yr old girl dead on arrival at the hospital. Our Congresswoman made it through surgery; responded to commands but is in critical condition. There are several people still in surgery and still conflicting stories. Here's a link to it:

Morning all,

I am so sorry I am awol so much these days.

I just about manage to keep on top of emails, but my forums/threads I am way behind on 😞

I enjoyed my break from work over Christmas and New Year, even though it was tinged with sadness over my Melissa.

But since I went back to work it has been totally manic.

For some reason the powers that be have reduced my hours on Mon, Tues and Sat, and increased them on Wed, Thurs and Fri.

Which is all well and good, as it works out I am still working the same hours, but the journey home from Wednesday onwards is an absolute nightmare, so much more traffic on the road, and I am getting home later and later, grrrr.

Going to go and see my manager on Monday and ask what the heck this is all about!!! Have made myself an appointment, as no one seems to know what is happening, so I thought well if you lot aren't going to ask, I sure as hell am!

Rose, you are doing a grand job being a foster furbaby mum. You truly deserve a run of good luck!! I'd be rubbish at fostering furbabies, gosh I'd want to keep em!

Donna,
I just saw about that shooting when I logged onto Yahoo.

Says about the congresswoman being shot but that she is stable but still in intensive care, a child has died and that 10 more are injured, 5 critical.

You just cant get your head around folk that have done this. But I see that they do have someone in custody, all too often folk commit crimes such as this and then commit suicide, so at least someone will have to account for their actions in this case.

Sending prayers up for all.

It's getting on for 11. 30pm here so I shall say goodnight, and will try and pop in more frequently.

Wendy, so good to see you. The Congresswoman was shot in the head but she has made it through surgery. Doctors have said they will know more about her condition after 24 hours. There have been 6 people who have lost their lives. There were 16 people injured. The gunman was tackled by several people there. Thank goodness he is in police custody. I've been glued to this tv for several hours.

Donna♥ OMG what a horrible situation 😞 It's such a scary thought knowing how easy guns are to get over in the US. You are probably used to seeing them everywhere for sale and people owning them but guns scare the bejesus out of me.
When I lived up north hubby was close to getting his gun licence and purchasing a gun. I wanted nothing to do with it. Thank god he purchased a faulty gun and had to return it (a 4 hour trip) and after that he had no time to get another one and his licence appilcation run out 😄 I don't want one of those things in my house.

OPPS sorry about the post blah blahing there,I just hate the things I know if we lived rural we would need one but now we are in the city if a snake comes on our propety the snake catcher is only a call away.
