evening all ....
le-anne .... never had a bad reaction to the flu jab *fingers crossed* ..... and as I have a cold already ...any vestige of a cold after the jab will be a moot point LOL
and yes looking forward to the 4 days off ....
just had a call from mum .... my sister & BIL have been looking on the net for cheap airfares for their holiday ... they are going in august ....and for 12 days in Bangkok & Chiang Mai .... its gonna cost them about $1200 each ... how cheap is that ... in nice hotels too !
so they found some good prices for our trip in Jan/Feb 2012 ... so after I drop the car gonna get flu jab ... then pick up car and go to travel agents with mum ... to book if we can at the cheap price .... and find out about hotels etc whilst there ... ooh so exciting seeing as its ages away yet LOL
ooh amy ... ya poor thing ... missy had bad colic until 12 wks and then started teething 😐 .... I didnt have any sleep at all ... was a walking zombie .... I wonder how I managed now .... doubt I could do it anymore LOL .... he looks so innocent when hes asleep .... and so happy when hes awake .... who knew he was a little minx ..... lets hope you get him into his own room and manage to get some rest ♥

I bet you cant wait .... but it will be here soon.... and then it will be over .... sad really it takes so long to get here and before you can blink its gone 😮
well sister & BIL are going on a no frills airline .... air asia ....I think.... but we will be going on thai (hopefully) and we are going for about 3 wks .... and to bangkok, chiang mai & pattaya ...and mum wants to go business class 😮 ...... with having her hip done last year and her knees not the best .... she wanted to at least try it ... and as she says it may be her last trip .... 😉 I doubt it .... LOL ..... but who knows ...

Peela, oh wow! Hope all goes well with the planning stages of your future trip. Sounds wonderful! Having been a travel agent for a few years, I've always loved doing the planning of trips. My trips now consist of camping in our motorhome or staying in a hotel when we go to the casinos south of Las Vegas.

LOL .... le-anne your mum has years to go yet .... cos my mum in 80 in july .....and I doubt this will be her last trip ....she loves it too much .... we joke that she will be 100 and I will be pushing her wheelchair through the airport on the way to another holiday :^O
donna .... my mum has a map or bangkok and one of chiang mai ...which I bought her last year for mothers day .... and she knows exactly where everything is in those places ....
she plans our holidays ...always .... works out where and when we will be somewhere depending on where we are going to go .... she will be in a taxi ...and the guy will be in a lane ...and she will say something like ... oh we're taking the long way eh ? ....or oooh good youre going the right way ...and its short too .... :^O she gobsmacks some of them with her knowledge of bangkok .....
we always tip the taxi drivers ...but if they go the short trip we tip them more ....and she knows .... LOL tis so funny cos I wouldnt have a clue ....but with her being there so many times she knows for sure !
ahh well le-anne .... I have been to vegas .... many years ago ... my sister and I went to the west coast of US ..... san francisco, hawaii, las vegas, los angeles .....but a lot has changed since then .... but still been there 😉

This was taken today and then tonight.
It continues to burn up the mountain chain and on the flatlands. There have been 40 homes lost and 10 structures.

oooh donna looks terrible .... and seems to be covering a lot of acreage .... 😞 ..... hopefully no lives have been lost or will be lost .... houses can be rebuilt .... but not lives ....
still waiting on the floor piccies missy .... come on make us all jealous 😛
well booked our business class seats today .... woohooo ! and not as expensive as I saw on the net (thank goodness) 😮
travel agent now has to organize our hotel rooms .... they advertise a triple room .... but it is not for 3 adults .... its for 2 adults and a child .... they roll in a camp style bed for the child .... but we are not putting up with that ... if we pay the money equally ...then we want a proper bed .... so she is trying to organize for us to have a queen bed and a single bed in the room .... or a king and a single .... and mum & aunt will sleep in the bigger bed ...and I will take the single ... she says she will know by tomorrow .... but says she will sort it out and make sure we get something decent....
its a bit suss how they can advertise it as a triple .... when really its not at all .... fingers crossed she dots the i's and crosses the t's tomorrow .... we are going for 22 days .....should be awesome ♥

Peela, luckily no lives have been lost. Some people literally had minutes to get out of their homes and had to leave beloved pets behind. I haven't heard if any animals have died. There's been cattle, horses, and other animals that have had to be moved.
Ohhh, sure hope the travel agent gets the room all squared away for you ladies. I wouldn't like a roll away bed if I'm paying a third of the cost. It really shouldn't be a problem for them to place a single bed in the room and hopefully there's enough space for one.
