Peela: Good that your solar panels are already working for you. How many panels do you have? Are you being charged the same rate for power in and power out? Do you know if the guys who installed your panels are licensed tradesmen for that job?
I don't want to alarm you, however there is an article which mentions that 12% of solar panels installed in WA have caused fires due to being installed by unlicensed tradesmen!!!!!!
Another warm day here, but I'm sure not as hot as out West.

mim .... I had them installed by a company that is over in the east as well as here ... True Value Solar .... they are joint sponsors of the essendon afl club ....
if anything that should have made me shy away LOL .... being a west coast eagles fan 😉
the guys who installed it were licensed .... one was an electrician ....
I had 10 panels installed .... at the moment the solar power is winding back the dials ..... so all solar power is going into the box ....and Im using that before I use any of the grid power ....
but the power company is making it compulsory to have a 'smart meter' installed ....at my expense X-(..... and then they will pay us only 7cents per whatever it is kw I think ..... whereas in the eastern states the power companies pay 47 cents per kw ......major ripped off by the liberal govt and power company over here .... X-(
my sister had hers installed before xmas ....and my other sister is due to have hers installed any time .... and we all went through different companies .... I think there are some dodgy people out there ....but there are also the good ones .... I think with the reputation the company I used has ....they cant afford to do a dodgy job 😉

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been in. I have been flat out sick these past 3 days. I never get sick and to be sick this many days in a row has taken a lot out of me. If things don't improve by tomorrow, I will have to go in and get checked. This is so unusual for me. I hardly ever get a cold much less this flu thing. I can't even walk upstairs without having to lay down and rest. I hate it.

ooh rosie ...take care of yourself .... last year in june/july ..our winter .... I thought I had a cold ....and ended up in hospital for a week with pneumonia 😞 ....... then had to stay home from work another week due to not being strong enough to even walk to the toilet ...... bluddy awful it was ..... as I rarely get sick ...other than an odd cold here or there .....but it can sneak up on you .... so please take care ♥
hot hot hot here today again ..... got the aircon cranking out some cool air ....thank goodness we bought it about 12mths ago ....and its a big reverse cycle one .....so cools the play really quickly ... ♥

So do you know who is offering 47C per KW/hr over in Victoria?
The official Govt. offer is 25C per Kw/hr so no-one can offer less than that.
If you are using the aircon today, your meter is probably not going backwards, unfortunately.
Are you celebrating by having a B-B-Q? We may go to watch some fireworks locally, tonight. Our weather is just beautiful, warm and sunny....PERFECT!!! 🙂
