evening all .....
went to the petrol station to get fuel on my way home from work today .... and what do I find ... all the regular bowsers have 'out of order' on them ... X-( .... the only ones available for sale were the super premium ones .... grrrrr I was very p****d off with the station ... as were a heap of people who also pulled in to get some fuel before it goes up tomorrow ... cos its jumping by about 20c / litre according to the news .... X-(
how rude are they to do that .... surely the business they lost wasnt worth them closing off all that fuel that they could have sold ... just to make more money tomorrow .... cos Im sure they didnt run outta fuel by 3.30 pm on a wednesday ... when its supposed to be available until 6am tomorrow morning ... X-(
so I had to venture back into the nightmare traffic and find another station to use .... cos I was on 1/4 of tank .... luckily the station that is usually really expensive .... was selling at the same price as the one I went to originally ... so they got my business today ..and I reckon probably a lot of other peoples and maybe people wont go back to the first one again after this fiasco !!
sorry for the scroller ....but it peeves me to think they can be so rude !!!
other than that ... a great day today ... nice and cool again ... and not too busy at work .... mind you I had to kiss a lot of little faces today .... its a hard job ... but somebody has to do it B-)

That is terribly rude of that station to pull that dirty trick just to get more money out of people. So sorry you had to go find another one. I definitely would give the other station my business. Oh, I haven't downloaded Firefox yet....I'm hoping sometime today. I've just been really busy. I'm really fed up with IE.
Le-Anne, ohh thank you! I ended up texting Ilse numerous times about how she attached some of the items, where I could find the itty bitty rubberbands, and a few other questions. I ended up playing around with the thing until I found what worked best for me. I initially didn't think it was going to turn out very well but was pleasantly pleased with the outcome. Actually, I didn't want to give it away after I was done with it...LOL. My aunt notified me and said she wants me to make her one when she gets really old but to place adult diapers on it....LOL.
Amy, wow! You are having some wonderful renos done to your home and many more yet to do. If you ever have a chance, I would love to see some more pics.
Rosie, oh that hubby of yours is a stinker. I hope he doesn't injure his hand while he's using the snow blower or anything else he thinks has to be done.
Peela, oh the mom to be really loved the diaper cake. She contacted me via FB when she was waiting to catch her flight back home. She said her father loved the cake and is shipping it to her home so her husband can see it.
Rosie, those people sound very lucky that the chimney fire wasn't any worse than it was. I don't recall how often you should have your chimney checked, but it sounds like they were overdue. Those chimney sweepers earn their keep.

OMG it's the 1st of march MARCH!!!!! Crazy huh??
I"m off to drop the kidlets at school then hopefully dash to the phone shop to get my new phone. I was going to get a HTC but I just saw a Samsung Galaxy 5 was only $99 prepaid and seeing I"m saving for a nice holiday I think I might go for that and pocket the change (I bought a new handbag today so feeling a bit guilt about that purchase lol) I can always upgrade later on 🙂

Hello everyone!
My Jeep inspection went well. The only thing it needed was a third brake light bulb. They did find a squirrel's nesting bed in my engine though. It was in the air flow space. It was using a lot of batting from an old coat or comforter. We have such a hard time getting rid of those darn things out of the garage. We fix the holes they make but they just chew their way through the plywood and bring more family and friends. We set out decon and they drag it off and we've the found dead ones but more keep coming. I don't know what else to do to get rid of them. So distructive.
Peela: Gas prices are getting ridiculous for sure. I can't believe that station did that. How rude!
Donna: yes that husband of mind is very stubborn! He can't just sit and relax. He thinks he can do everything he was doing before he hurt his thumb. We go to his post op appointment on Monday. So far so good and finger's crossed he continues to keep that thumb safe!
Amy: Love the reno pics. Your kitchen looks so sleek and modern now. I really like it.
