I've been dealing with a pretty sick cat today. He couldn't keep anything down. I've had to take away his water and food. I'm hoping in another hour or so, I'll be able to give him some water.

well went to my mums for lunch today .... she made my fave meal ... home made pastie pie .... she makes her own pastry and even she said that todays effort was the best she had made in ages ... it was delicious !!! and I got to bring home 2 extra serves for me to eat when missy is not home for dinner ... she also made a beef & veg casserole for missy who is not as fond of pastie pie as I am ... then sent the rest home for us also .... gotta love my mum ... and her cooking is awesome !! ♥

I have had a pretty lazy weekend. Haven't done much of anything except clear out a space for my Great Aunt's school desk. She was a teacher for many many years and when she retired, they gave her the desk she used. My brother had it at his summer home here and he sold the home and doesn't want to transport it from Maine to Florida. There are a few other family items from her and our Mom that that we siblings are taking off his hands. We all want them to stay in the family.

Mim, thank you. It was a bit stressful since he was sick beyond midnight on Saturday. He is doing much better and I hope I don't see a repeat of that anytime soon.
Rosie, how awesome to enherit your Great Aunt's old school desk. I can fully understand wanting family items to stay in the family. I have several antique pieces that belonged to family members for many years.
Peela, your mum sounds like a sweet lady. How wonderful to have all the leftovers so you can enjoy your mums cooking throughout the week.

Got My Aunt's desk all in place. I had some old milk bottles that came from her in 3 sizes. I took old photos and placed them inside the bottles. They look really awesome. I have one of my parents on their wedding day and when you turn the bottle around, it's another of my parents celebrating an anniversary. Then in another bottle, I have a photo of my Aunt and her husband whom she married when she was 66 but he was always around since I could remember so he was always my Uncle even before they were married. And turn that bottle around, there's a photo of my Great Grandfather, my aunt's and Grandmother's father. He was a funny man. Lived until her was 98. I was lucky to be old enough to remember him very well. Then the 3rd bottle is the smallest. It has a group photo of members of both my mother's and father's sides of the family. My grandparents on both sides, aunt's and uncles. It was taken quite a bit before I was born. I will get a photo taken to show you the set up.
I have been involved this week with the Cellphone maker company HTC, It involves blogging about technology and how I use it and how it effects my life. They give you a different thing to blog about everyday. I am doing it for another week. It's kind of fun. I am hoping to win the grand prize of $150. We'll see.
