Well it was a year ago yesterday that I came way to close to losing my daughter Shannon. Thank God she is ok now. What a scary fall and winter we had. I posted this on my FB yesterday:
One year ago today, I fearfully watched Dr. Vanadia’s surgical team whisk Shannon into the OR to perform emergency, lifesaving surgery. I sat and waited for 2 ½ very long and nerve-racking hours to receive word that the very small window of opportunity was not forever closed after becoming septic from 3 bowel perforations. Only through the Grace of God and the power of prayer do I still have my beautiful daughter here with me this day. I want to give a shout out to everyone that kept in close touch and kept Shannon in their prayers during her long month’s stay in the hospital, 3 surgeries and long and difficult road to recovery. Thank you all! Thankfully she has mended well and is back to a normal life of a 22 year old! I love you Shannon!! ♥
Donna: My weather her has really cooled off. Not really getting out of the 60's now and we have gotten a couple frosts at night. Brrr.
I am working on a cute project to send my new Great Niece that was born Sept 5th, Grace Nicole. I will post pics when I have finished.

Rosie, well we had cooler temps for a couple of days. It's gone back up to 90° today. I think this warm streak will last for several more days and then go back to normal Fall temps.
So glad that Shannon has come a long way since a year ago.

I have booked (all by myself on the net) our next trip ...which is in January 2013 ..... going for 22 nites ... and going to Chiang Mai, Pattaya & Bangkok .... did all the hotels as well ... and two of them we havent stayed in before 😮 .... but they do look lovely .... and you know what I think we worked out we saved about $500 by doing it online .... always a good thing I reckon 😉

Peela, well we do have another very short trip planned. We wont' be camping but a bunch of us are going back to Laughlin, NV for a long weekend. We're heading out October 12th.

well missy is going to do her perception test tomorrow ... after completing the 25hrs/6mths if she passes tomorrow morning ... then she will be able to drive all by herself from then on .... she is nervous ... and a tad excited .... Im also nervous of her driving by herself as she is a learner still ....
on the upside ... no more picking her up at the train station or dropping her at events and then picking her up afterwards ... or getting a call to come get her cos the taxi hasnt turned up .... so more time for me .... 😮
got the GPS all set ... so fingers crossed she listens to it and doesnt get lost .... Im not working tomorrow so dont need a call to come rescue her cos she got lost PMSL ....
