Peela, hope you're enjoying being at one centre for a few weeks.
Well we had a great time on the trip. I actually haven't thought about the trip since we came home over a week ago. I don't know how else to put it except to say it's been a very sad, emotional rollercoaster since we've been home.
Not long after we arrived home, I realized our home phone line was dead. We eventually discovered that the line had been severed outside. This also meant we didn't have internet service. I called the head maintenance guy where we live and found out that the maintenance guys had accidentally taken a weed eater to our line. This happened sometime on the day we left on our trip.
A few hours later, I received a phone call that my aunt in Illinois was hospitalized and was not expected to make it through the night. I spent most of the evening off and on the phone along with sending text messages to my family. The next morning, on my way out the door to go walking with some friends, a text was waiting for me telling me that my aunt passed away during the night. She had died from a brain aneurysm. I spent a better part of the day in tears. My husband and I decided to meet some friends for pizza that evening and upon arriving at our favorite pizza place, we find out that our friend (the owner) had passed away the night before from an abdominal aneurysm at the age of 59.
Over the past week and a half, it's just been a tad rough. I've got the blahs pretty bad but I'm working through it. I can't wait until October is done and we can move onto November.

I cant believe they didnt contact you and tell you about the damage they caused to your phone line .... how unacceptable and slack ... hope they have been made to pay compensation or such for their irresponsible actions!!!

well Im now going to be at this centre until end of november ... due to a girl quitting and there is no replacement available ..... so I will move into the toddlers room from monday instead of in two weeks ... as the toddlers must have a qualified in there due to them being under the age of 3yrs ....
the poor girl I am covering in the kindy room for the 4 weeks ... will now only have me in there for a week .... cos last week I was moved around the centre to cover other people who didnt turn up .... fingers crossed the assistant has it all under control ...but I will still try and pop my head in and give any help I can to make things easier for her .... **sigh**
dinner time .... hopefully I can get in here tomorrow .... take care all

I went to my dr apt yesterday to the endocrinologist for my nodules on my thyroid. She did another ultra sound and they haven't grown any in a year. So that's a good thing. She says she wants to keep a yearly check and they are at 1.4 cm (the largest) right now. She says she doesn't biopsy unless they get 1.5 or more. She want's me to do a cortisol test to make sure nothing is out of whack there. I have to pee in a jug for a day...nice.
Thank you for making typos special for me Le-Anne! LOL. I know you are doing it on purpose cause I love them so much and they make me giggle!
Yes, Huntley has tripled in size. He turned 5 months this past weekend. We got to visit for a little bit because my Dr apt was down there. We won't see them until Christmas now. He has 1 puppy tooth left to lose so I think the biting and chewing will get much better now. Already has been a big improvement.
Donna: My gosh you've been through so much lately! I am so sorry about the loss of your Aunt and Friend. So sad. One good thing about your phone line being severed it that it was an accident made by a worker and not someone trying to break into your home! And they will have to pay for getting it fixed.
Peela: you sure are making the rounds at the centers! Sounds like it's keeping you busy!
