Max had the surgery today - is in pain today & wearing the dreaded collar. he did come thru the op without any trouble. He had to have a pre op bloodwork due to his age & passed with flying colours.
So the tumour is gone plus 2 little ones near one eye.
bad news is Sam says the lump is "weird & nasty-loooking" & I agreed for her to send it to specialist pathology lab to have it thoroughly examined. Might still be low-grade but she wasn't familiar with it's look.
Apparantly mast cell tumours can present (outside & after removal) in many different ways which is why we must always get dog & cat lumps checked.
So cos of the holidays it will be up to 10 days before I know whther his danger is zero or grave or in between. Til then, I just get him recovered from this op & get thru Xmas.
