my missy liked everything I bought for her ... sadly the measurements she gave me herself for some shorts ... were waaaaayyyyyy out and the shorts absolutely swim on her ... but hey not much I can do about that .... will hve a look at them and see if I can take them in ... if its too hard will see if I can find someone they will fit .. ๐ they are lovely shorts ... a bit sad they dont fit and she was disappointed they dont also ...
the tags I wouldnt have a clue .... I have long given up on working out who is the maker of all the tags .... I know a couple of my devils tags .... but considering the amount I actually have ... then the non name ones far far far outstrip the named ones .... LOL

Hi Gals. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and everyone that has been feeling a little under the weather is feeling better now.
Well yesterday, I had a day planned to work in PSP. Get tags in here for you all and catch up on some other online activities. But, as you saw Le-Anne mention, my hubby had an accicent and everything changed.
Chris was working on taking his mountain bike apart because the frame needs welding and he was cutting through a very thick zip tie and using a lot of force. When the knife finally went through the tie, the force of the momentom just carried on and up and he ended up slicing his thumb severing the tendon and a nerve. This was 8:30 in the am. We went to the ER and they cleaned, stitched it and called a hand surgeon in Bangor (almost 3 hours away). The surgeon said come right down because he wanted to operate that day. After a dose of IV antibiotics, we were on our way to Bangor by noon and he was in surgery by 3:30 out at 6:30 and discharged at 7:30. He's in a cast for 6 weeks. And since tendons do not heal like bones or skin because they "stick" to whatever is around it, he will have to have a second surgery when the tendon is 100% healed to remove scar tissue so the thumb will bend properly. Since the nerve was severed as well, although repaired, it's hard to say how much feeling he will have in the thumb. It will depend if the nerve endings grow back beyond the point of reconnection.
Since Shannon lives close by, she and her BF sat with me while I waited for the surgery to be done and then Chris and I spent the night in her apartment and came home today.
Mim: I had intended to send you an email but popped in here and saw Le-anne's post so I knew you sort of knew already. Just not details. So I figured I would just explain it all while I was here. I only had my phone with me. I posted to FB because I didn't have time to try to call everyone to let them know and FB is like 1 stop shopping because everyone I needed to notify right away is on there and log on all the time and it's the fastest and easiest way to get the word out to everyone at the same time. But I will reply to your last email shortly. And thanks so much for my tags! The Dreams tag is so soft and beautiful and the Friends tags is Gorjuss, need I say more?!!
Le-Anne: I really wanted to get a picture of his thumb before they stitched it and post to FB but it all happened so fast. I suppose I could have gotten photos or a video of the very large blood trail from the basement to kitchen! There was a LOT of blood. He tried paper towels but they were useless. Grabbed a dish towel and wrapped it on his thumb and sped off to the ER. needless to say, the dish towel stayed there in their trash! It was red though. Maybe no one would have noticed it was redder? LOL. I hope some dr can figure out your "ponding" headache. Is it anything like swimmers ear? LOL. You're adorable.

As a kid i near chopped my thumb off. It was slammed in a door and was hanging off. They re attached it. I cant even tell which thumb it was now.

OH Rosie!!!! Your hubby's accident sounds really awful and painful. Luckily he was able to get into surgery very quickly.
Your nursing skills must have been put into practice. I sure do hope and pray it heals well and that hubby will retain full feelings in his thumb.

Peela: Sorry that some of the items are not the correct size for your daughter. Yes, I can understand her disappointment. If you have them taken in, the cost may be equal to the cost of buying the item here. If you can personally do this, and it fits your daughter, that would be wonderful for her.
Amy: Happily you have good use of your thumb now, it seems. So that's great. I sure hope you are feeling much better and no more headaches.

Well my female cat is 100% better. I don't know what caused her sickness. I have to put eyedrops in her one eye due to an issue with it. I'm hoping the drops take care of it.
