Good Morning to you both.  Couldn't sleep so up extra early.

Hawk, did you go along the Great Ocean Road?  When I was a kid, we used to go to Apollo Bay for holidays - it was a lovely spot then.

We used to camp near the Cape Otway light house - there were lots of rock pools and dad used to catch crayfish.

I see your back at work Peela.  Neck thing for you will be your holiday.

We think we will take the van away for a week or so in about 10 days.

we have been along the Great ocean Road for SA to Gelong way 3 times now and from that end back this way 1 time

Its the most interesting and nicest area to travel through

Have stayed at Apolo bay 3 times and the last time we stayed at Wye river for a change and then yumbuk lake for the next stop

Hi Peela & Hawk.

30 days will go quickly Peela.  Are you going with your mum? OH and I have never wanted to go OS but have been looking at Italy.  OH has Italian blood in him.

You've whetted my appetite Hawk - think we might have to do the Great Ocean Road soon.  We live in the Latrobe Valley/Gippsland area so not that far.  We usually go through Colac and down to Apollo Bay so we come back along the Great Ocean Road on the bank side :-).  Think we might wait until the holiday season is over though.

2011 is running out fast.  Can't say I'm sorry but then, a lot of years have brought sadness to someone we know.  If I don't get back, Happy New Year to you both.

sandy Im going with my mum & aunt ....... they travel together as they have been going once a year .... since my dad passed away ....mum has continued to travel .... they used to travel twice a year .....so mum still had the bug after he died ....

dad left some money to take myself & my two sisters plus families to thailand .... where he loved going ....and show us dads favourite places ... :-x

which we did .... we went one year with mum .... then my sisters went within the next year and half ..... we all visted dads favourite places .....sat and drank in the views whilst thinking of him .... ♥

but I havent been on holidays since jan 2010 ..... so looking forward to this holiday 😉

A good friend of mine has just got some bad news he sharded with me yesterday, His Dad at 64 was told on Tuesday when he went to doctors and then sent to hospital for tests because of his blood preasure that he has brain cancer and lung cancer that has spread to his chest and has 8 weeks to live.

😞 ..... oh hawk that is dreadful news ..... poor man ....and poor dad ..... tis terrible when you are given news like that .... although heres hoping he is well enough to spend as much time with his family as he can ....and do anything he always wanted to do ....♥

another hot day over here ... sheesh when will it end ???
