Damo is coming back to Perth early November. New sound and with an Independent label now. About bleeding time just quietly.
Sony were holding him back severely. Now he is free to write and record what he wants not do covers like they wanted.

Im glad damien is free to record his own stuff now .... the record companies do hog tie them dont they .... and what is the point of recording old stuff .... people want new stuff ...not other peoples songs .... they love new personally written songs so that they can experience some lovely music from the heart of the writer .... good luck to him ... hope he does better than he has so far and gives sony what for !!
will pass on your congrats to missy .... she is still on cloud 9 LOL ..... and now they are preparing for a competition with all the other leagues in the state .... she is in the reserves team ... her league has the two teams .... but both will be playing ... and Im pretty sure all the leagues have a main team and a reserves team .... so should be a good time for them all .....

been out and voted ... had to wait in line for approx 50mins or more ... obviously chose the wrong time to go there .... last time I was in and out in about 5 mins .... oh well all done .... moving on ....
finished the two weeks at my usual centre yesterday .... now off to my other centre for 2 + weeks .... before going back until the end of october LOL ..... feeling like a ping pong ball at the moment ... with the weeks going so quickly ..... its mind blowing where the time goes ...
well off to find something to do .... catch up maybe tomorrow ....

been sick this week .... had a nasty gastro .... so was off work mon, tue, wed & thurs .... although I wasnt booked on thurs .... as had my annual dental check .... but was still ill .... went back today ... and feel so much better .... doctor told me to only eat dry toast with a bit of jam on ... ...... so thats all I had between sunday & thursday .... and it gets tied very quickly .... mind you wasnt that hungry .... but needed something to try and get my tummy right .... it started to taste like a piece of soggy cardboard after a couple of days .... but glad Im able to have other stuff now .... really looked forward to my subway last nite ..... lovely fresh salad .... yummo !!

not a lot going on here .....other than the fact the weeks are whizzing past like a train on a fast track .... astounding .... I dont remember them being this quick when I was a kid .... they always seemed to drag by so slowly .... LOL

the weather in the west has been awful .... stormy & raining .... we had a terrible time last weekend .... the parents where I was working .... a few lost their rooves in the storm ... and some of them their houses ... the roof collapsed in on the houses ... 
one of the staff .... her house was fine ... but the one next door .... ended up with their trampoline on their roof instead of in their backyard
no damage in my area thank goodness ... just lots of rain .... did have a pond in the backyard for a day or so .... until it soaked in .... and my furbabies hated having to go out into it for a wee wee ..... but at least today it was a bit better ... still overcast and cold ... but not a lot of rain ...
I see the eastern states are having hot weather .... bizarro world in our country at the moment
well the AFL grand final is over and done with ... I wonder if you heard the outcome ... or even if you follow footy .... the protagonists were Hawthorn & Fremantle ..... winner : Hawthorn by 15points ....
fremantle has been in the AFL for 19yrs and this was their first foray into the major finals .... the whole of WA was turned purple .... and lots of supporters in melbourne also ... so was a purple wash everywhere .... heaps of people went over from WA to watch it ... maybe next time ...
I have a head cold this week ..... hahaha for a change Im sick .... **rolls eyes** ,... but other than the sneezing and the runny nose all good ..... better than what some people have LOL

another week whizzes past .... and into October we run ... at full tilt .... whoa mama the year is fast ending ..... and Ive just gotten used to writing 2013 ...... another couple of months and its gonna be over ... and we will be trying to remember what month, day, year it is .... I dont remember it going so fast when I was a kid .... always seemed to drag by .... but them again ... we spent more time in school that the children these days .... didnt get holidays every 3 mths or there abouts .... and certainly no pupil free days to be had .... and the xmas break wasnt anywhere near as long as it is now .... but the kids these days still whinge about how long they have to go to school ..... never be satisfied I dont think ...this generation is more about 'me me me' sadly .....

well another week over and done ..... geez .....
had another bout of the nasty bug last sunday, mon & tues .... but fingers crossed all good now ... I think its because of the nasty weather we have been having ..... cold, raining one day ... then summery the next day ... then back to the rain .... I reckon the bugs have decided to revolt so we get their worst effects ....

not a lot going on over here other than the fact its cold and raining ... again ! ..... cant believe the difference in weather over our beautiful country .... hope the bushfires get under control and the loss is minimal ..... and thinking of the firemen .... who spend all their time trying to get the fires under control .... my dad was a fireman ... so I know how taxing these bushfires are on them ... ๐

Hi Peela , I have been very slack. I have been back for a while but just not on ebay. I had quite a bit happen while we were away and then when we got back it was all systems go with the various things, I don't know if I mentioned that #1 son received a job offer in Qld. Still with the same company but a change of department and job description. He was to take it up just over a week from us returning. With packing him up and trying to tie up a lot of loose ends (plus lots and lots of washing lol), we were pretty much inundated,
Anyway, short story long....he made the transfer. His company paid for his removal plus for his car to be transported to Brisbane. They were putting him up in the Quest Apartments for a month to give him time to find his own accommodation which he has now done and moved in a week or so ago.
He seems to like it up there and I think the move was good for him. We have booked flights to go up on the 22nd November to see him and his 'abode'.
His girlfriend has been up there twice already.
Also while we were away Son #2 sent us an email to say he had put in his notice to leave work (which was the same day that DS #1 left Sydney).
He later sent us an email to say that he and some work colleagues had been recommended to St John Ambulance to be awarded at their annual presentation day which was held last Saturday. Mr Braff and I went as his 2 guests.
It was lovely. He was presented his plaque by Her Excellency Marie Bashier, Govenernor of NSW.
It is a lovely largish black plaque with a raised up section and a silver border around it. There is a red vertical strip in centre top with the St John Ambulance logo and St John written under it.
It can be either hung on a wall or stand on a desk.
The inscription in silver writing says:

The reason he handed his notice in at work was because he is wanting to move over to WA and get a job with the mines. He has undertaken a couple of TAFE courses to get certificates to help him. they have been quite expensive. He left the job on a Friday and then started an Explosives course the following Monday.
It was during the time of him handing in his notice and booking the TAFE course that he found out about geting the Award.
Because he had time from the completion of the course to receiving the award he went OS to Singapore and Malaysia arriving back on Thursday.
