Hacked account

My account has been hacked. My name and address changed. The item I bought was delivered to the address it was changed to. The seller  is not taking any responsibility, told me to get in touch with E-bay.

It's impossible to speak with a real live person, but several different people I was talking to (in writing) have said that they will escalate my case. Never heard anything back. They know people just give up.

I lost $229.00 and will never use E-bay again. Please think twice before you buy from E-bay, no customer service, just empty promises!

Why should the seller take responsibility, it is not their fault, nor is it their responsibility to manage the security of your account.

Sellers are required to ship to the address provided.

Have you contacted your bank ?

If not, do so immediately.

Change all your passwords and run all your keylogging and virus protection.

You can use this link to contact eBay - click on Contact Us at the bottom of the page and when you get to the automated assistant, ask to speak to a supervisor

Why would the seller take responsibility for something that was not their responsibility in any way, shape or form?

You need to be contacting your bank, as said, which should have been the very first thing you did

You do not need to tell other members you are not using eBay in future

You do need to take notice of what has been said about notifying your bank, changing all passwords etc etc, running antivirus and notifying eBay via the link given your account has been compromised
