My add has been sitting in my favorites column because I am asked to verify my phone number. I press call now and cant hear the phone call that arrives. Last time I had to verify my number this way they sent me a TEXT MESSAGE!!!!!!

I'm not sure what the problem is, precisely... Are you perhaps hearing-impaired and don't have TTY?
Or is something going wrong technically with your phone, so that it doesn't ring?
Contacting eBay by phone is undoubtedly the best way to contact them. If you're having trouble hearing, can you perhaps ask a neighbour, friend or family member to be with you while you get eBay to phone you?
eBay's "Have us call you" option is by far the best way to get in touch with eBay. (Emails are useless, for a number of reasons, but primarily because the responses, when they are finally sent, are bot-generated.)
eBay say: We'll call you at the phone number registered to your account, or you can enter a different number.
