Ebay Plus...eligible user

Hello,

My daughter is new to ebay. She has been using my account until now. She wants to jpin ebay plus and take advantage of the $20- voucher which is alot to her....but as she has no purchase history as yet.....it says she is not an eligible user.  What is an eligeble user? How does she become one? I am happy to make a few general household purchases on her new accunt to set her up on her Ebay journey if someone could please clarify what it is I actually need to aim for....Thank you in advance.

I have no idea what the problem could be, but ebay plus is not for everyone.

I have read of many problems with it.

The T & C's might help, if you read them -

To join ebay Plus you need to have an account with an address registered in Australia and an appropriate purchase history.

The $20 voucher offer is for a limited time....by the time your daughter has a purchase history the offer may have finished.

Ebay is regularly offering incentives to join Plus.  If it was me I would just start buying and getting a purchase history.  If the voucher offer disappears just wait for the next offer....$20 is pretty low on the scale of some of the offers that have been made in the past....the last one was for a $50 voucher which actually paid for the years membership.

Just don't join to get the voucher...make sure that you will get value for your membership money.  I found that there was nothing in it for me so have never joined.

To add, an account holder needs to be 18 and over.

I couldn't find anything about appropriate purchase history in the t&cs though it does say eBay reserves the right to accept or refuse membership in its discretion

Curious about it because I keep receiving invitations on an account that has 0 transactions

Re: Ebay Plus...eligible user

Google was my friend in this case and the OP has already said that her daughter needs a purchase history.

If all your accounts have the same registration details maybe ebay takes all your purchase history into account.

However I do think that the invitations go out to every account without fear or favour and irrespective of whether that account qualifies to join.
