Sendle Review
I’ve been using Sendle to ship out products, but honestly my experience hasn’t been good. The main issue is overcharging. I declare the correct size and weight, yet many of my shipments get hit with extra adjustment fees after the fact. For example, I’ve had orders show as $23 at checkout, but then my balance shows $46 missing — and no clear notification or explanation.
When I contacted support, they weren’t helpful. Instead of properly investigating, they just pushed responsibility back on me. I’ve had over 50 shipments with the same issue, and it feels like they don’t want to take accountability.
Shipping services should be transparent and reliable, but with Sendle I’ve found it stressful, unpredictable, and expensive. At this point, I’ll be reconsidering whether I keep using them at all.
⭐ 1/5 — would not recommend unless they fix their billing and support issues.
Given the sky high number of threads on this forum alone warning about them, I can’t see anyone taking any more notice of your warning than you did of any of those
As sandy and daydream have said, the boards are rife with negative threads about Sendle.
Another thread warning against Sendle is logically not likely to be the straw that breaks the eBay-sellers-using-Sendle’s back. Consider this… You didn’t look through the threads on these boards, searching for information and first-hand experience on using Sendle before you started using Sendle, true? It begs the question about other sellers who are currently using Sendle or about to use Sendle, in terms of their taking heed from the plethora of similar threads and posts, given eBay’s promotion of Sendle to sellers.
So… I suspect your thread is primarily going to function as your outlet to steam about Sendle. There is nothing wrong with that; I hope it relieved your feeling at least a little!
As a buyer I would never purchase from a seller using Sendle. As Sandy says there are numerous threads with complaints about them from both sellers and buyers.
I had a parcel delivered by Sendle yesterday and it’s gone missing, courier took picture of parcel at my front door, I was out at the time.
Contacted Sendle & they are investigating it’s disappearance. Road Runners courier delivered it I rang them but they didn’t have a lot to say, the item was bought from Amazon via a seller on Amazon website, Amazon said I had to contact seller.☹️
The photo is going to be the sticking point.
There are three scenarios that I can see as logical:
1️⃣courier delivered item, took photo, left, and thief subsequently made off with the parcel;
2️⃣courier delivered parcel, took photo, looked at the door and any windows to estimate risk of observation, and made off with the parcel which he’d been eying covetously; and
3️⃣courier delivered parcel, took photo, left, you came home, brought parcel in, but decided to claim it wasn’t there in the hope of being refunded and keeping item (only listed in the interests of logic, and certainly not what I consider in keeping with your nature).
If a thief made off with the parcel after delivery, you won’t be covered…
If the courier purloined it, I don’t see how you can prove it unless you have a doorbell camera or similar. If you don’t, is that something you may want to install to future-proof deliveries?
There's nothing worse than being charged later for underpayment when there is no clear reason why. Aust. Post will provide what was entered and what they say it should have been so makes it easy to follow up.
I have recently been using ebay postage for the extra small satchels and noticed being charged and extra $6.50 on a few so issues there as well.
My advice would be to go with over the counter at Aust Post.
