Free Postage displayed when it is NOT

Why do sites continually list in their adverts Free Postage but when you go to the full description there is a postage charge?  Why does Ebay allow this misleading practise?

Recently I was looking for a new toolbox and noticed this from a few sellers. Usually their ads would specify that remote and regional areas would have higher shipping costs and frequently there would also be a list of postcodes they would not ship to at all.

More likely on oversized items that Oz post won't ship.

The ads are fairly generic I think?  I've had eBay show me ads for items and when I click on the item it is overseas and doesn't post to Australia! Rare, but happens.

eBay can be a bit glitchy sometimes.

Many possible reasons as mention

How do you think eBay would even be aware of it?  They do not vet or check listings

And eBay do not list anything, since they do not sell anything

Are you looking on the app?

Are you looking at items listed by overseas sellers who offer free domestic postage?

Are you looking at listings offering pickup?

These are possible explanations. Without an item number, we’d be shooting in the dark ..,

Please provide an item # as an example.
